The powerful and deadly storm moving through Middle Tennessee spawned a tornado that touched down in Nashville in the early morning hours Tuesday morning, cutting a swath of destruction that stretched through the city for miles.
The extent of the storm's physical damage was jarring - even before the sun rose Tuesday morning - and forecasters said more storms could be on the way.

Nashville is my hometown and has a lot of meaning to my family and when I learned about it from my friend I almost cried my eyes out all I thought about was all my parents friends and everyone who is down there. I don’t live in Nashville anymore but the weather there I am (4 hours away) was rough.

I live in east nashville... I could see the storm brewing around 12:30. I go back inside and not long after I hear the sirens going off. I’m looking out my front window looking towards where downtown is at and all I could see were power flashes and the wind blowing HARD. it was really scary and all I could think of is my girlfriend and my family. They’re all okay fortunately. Condolences to all those who were affected, we will rebuild!!

idiotic. tornado outbreaks fluctuate year over year. 2018 was one of the quietest years. 2019 was active. it's weather. Flooding has greater impacts now than previously because more people are living in flood-prone areas, we've developed areas without thinking of consequences, etc.

Flood plains are growing, sea levels are raising, rivers are rising, storms are more frequent and intense due to the increase in temp and moisture content. These are the high points, the facts. If people were honest instead of trying to make headlines like al gore then more people would be on board. A lot of us agree the climate is changing, we just don’t buy the end times bullshit being spewed year after year. Most of us agree cutting carbon emission would be great and we want to live in nice clean areas. Weird enough we’re the ones organizing city wide clean ups while the activist protest us cleaning. According to the Quran, Iram is the place to which the prophet Hud was sent in order to guide its people back to the righteous path of Lord. The citizens continued in their idolatrous ways and Al Mighty Allah destroyed their city in a great storm.
    Surah 89:6-14 mentions
Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with ‘Aad - [With] Iram - who had lofty pillars, the likes of whom had never been created in the lands. And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley? And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes? [All of] whom oppressed within the lands and increased therein the corruption. So your Lord Al Mighty Allah poured upon them a scourge of punishment. Indeed, your Lord is in observation. (Quran 89:6-14)
