This war of attrition illustrates how important soldiers well trained in metalworking and mechanics (at the very least) are to the war effort. All the best.
I believe the USA military figured out its 10 service soldiers to every 1 fighting solider so your 100% correct how important people trained in STEM are for a war effort.

OMG - To restore blown hydraulics and then spend a week training on the stabilized gun platform to become a gunner in your captured and repaired fighting vehicle. These guys are intensely motivated and very smart.

Would be nice and make it quick, but not necessarily needed. They do need more like 40-100 HIMARS, and 2-300 m777s. That's mostly to get units to the locations needed. But if each can find a a few targets a week, 8 HIMARS on deck could eliminate hundreds per month

As a teen, I wore military jackets with the German and American flags on them, and I never served in their armies. Army surplus is cheap, and I was a student.

I would like to see more of these rebuilds of captured weapons.
Aside from this amazing recovery, it seems to me the Russian soldiers might have deliberately sabotaged their vehicle as an excuse to retreat from battle -- which is smart, and honestly quite courageous. If you're a Russian soldier trying to follow a good conscience but also don't want to be shot by your commanders, this would be one solution.
