Amazing backstory!
For context, one of the primary themes of this musical is "being an adult in kiddy settings can be embarassing" AKA, fear of being percieved, with infantilization flavour. People who are paranoid and like "i'm a normal acceptable adult I swear! pls don't bully me", this horror concept is directed at them.
Similar thing with their previous iteration of the Hatchetfield setting, The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals... the musical. Evil but very expressive, borderline querrcoded disney villain energy characters are really fun to dissect. Esp when THEY'Re the ones doing the dissecting! (Henry Hidgens literally, Paul iforgothislastname metaphorically)
