Stream to choose after 10th for design career?

- Now let’s address the elephant in the room? Popular opinions with parents is that kids should pursue science or commerce for their 11th and 12th boards!
Now before you start to throw hate on them know that they aren’t wrong. “IF” a kid wants to keep his/her options open and keeps NIFT/NID as a back up, taking arts would limit their future plans.
Having said that, if you’re certain you want to pursue design then wasting your time studying accountancy or chemistry doesn’t make sense.
CBSE has a lot of creative subject choices you can make. For example, Fashion Studies, Commercial Arts, Fine Arts, Web technology and Home science are all subjects you’re offered by CBSE. And well, even if you don’t have these subjects atleast you wouldn’t be slogging and studying subjects you hate for the sake of your entrance. Because you don’t need a spget into NIFT for Bdes. ✨
Finally today was my last exam of 10th class .... Now i am confused between Science & Arts 😵💫😑👀

If you want to study at the top design colleges, you can prepare and apply for NIFT, NID or UCEED and you can also go for top 5 colleges in abroad.

Bachelors at NIFT is a 4 year programme. You can either apply for an dual degree at FIT while studying at NIFT or you can also go to FIT after completing your graduation from NIFT, it depends upon you ☺

I have done my bachelor's in the subject of Philosophy. And I have also completed my masters in the same subject. Lately, I did manage to qualify the nta ugc net entrance. However, somehow dropped out of the whole idea of pursuing a PhD in the same. But I have always wanted to pursue something in the creative field. Sadly, I didn't know much about it earlier. One of my friends told me about NIFT, NID and CEED exams. I want to pursue M. Des from one of these top design schools. I did check the syllabus and all. Currently, I am 26. Would it be a good decision for me? Am I too late for this? I am super confused. But I really really want to pivot my career entirely into a creative one.

@@user-fg2vq5iy3g alright im sorry if I was a little rude back there....for fashion designing...a high amount of creative thinking and designing skills are required.(it doesn't mean a person with high fashion sense could be a fashion designer) they can be...but they should also be highly creative which requires drawing skills designing skills etc etc...get into a college like NIFT....you'll be good to go
@@user-fg2vq5iy3g you should probably work really really hard on your creativity and imagination....I know designing(drawing) from imagination is so hard..but yeah there will be a lot of references,tutorials etc etc for your help....start off easy...develop it day by day...slowly you'll reach your goal

It also depends upon which university you want to get into as some universities accept Commerce students with Maths as well but you need to do a proper research on that and prepare for NATA exams to get in to most of the colleges ☺
