The Perfect Day in Nairobi National Park With Family

- A trip in Kenya is not complete without visiting what is possibly the most famous game reserve in the whole world, Nairobi National Park. Giraffes, lions and rhinos on one side and skyscrapers on the other. This is something unique that you can't get anywhere else but in Kenya's capital, Nairobi!
While inside Nairobi National Park (NNP) we decide to also go for a visit at the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. This animal rescue centre is managed by Sheldrick Wildlife Trust which was founded back 1977 by David Sheldrick. They specialize in rescuing baby rhinos and of course baby elephants who became orphans for different reasons. We highly suggest this heartwarming visit during your next stay in Kenya but make sure to book in advance as it is a very popular thing to do in Nairobi.
Our ultimate goal for the day was to find lions! After having the family around for almost a month and taking them from Tsavo to Amboseli, they have seen almost everything but lions... Even though we had an amazing game drive and say lots of wildlife, lions did not show up which is a great reason for Tracey's parents to come back for another vacation here in Kenya!

Hi there,
How are you all? If you do not mind me sharing; a well-planned, organic and unrefined plant-based diet (consuming edible raw plant foods where possible so as not to denature enzymatic activities beneficial to the human system. If disagreeing on this matter, please try planting some steamed carrots and see if they will grow; if they fail to, it is because they are 'dead' plant food that cannot fully nourish one's 'living' cells) consisting of organic fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, seeds and whole grains is the best diet to provide mankind with ultimate health and longevity. These foods, fresh and grown in rich soil, are found all the essential vitamins, calcium, carbohydrates, fats, fibre, minerals, protein and water needed to make good blood and enjoy health.
Please avoid meat alternatives that contain harmful preservatives and additives e.g vinegar, a corrosive agent. Food toxicity and nutrient deficiency (e.g white bread, white rice and white sugar) are a deadly combination as one is hindering the body's building materials needed to action healing whilst at the same time taxing the system with more damaging toxic things, thus bringing about disease and possibly even an early death.
GOD Bless
💙💙💙
Very happy you are finally bringing attention to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust! I have been a loyal supporter since 2009......getting to go to Kenya for the first time in 2012 to see all of my foster elephants. I am back every year. It is only $50 a year to foster one of these orphans. You watch them grow and finally will be back in the wild where they belong. Going back in the Fall. If you foster one of the elephants you can stay at one of 4 (soon 5) eco camps the Trust's run. An amazing organization. 🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘
The family actually adopted the little rhino! :)
@@DaveMani one of my fosters, too! Traci loves elephants.....she could adopt and follow along and be part of their going back to the wild.
I'd very highly recommend, if you sponsor one of their orphaned elephants or rhinos, to then book one of their private lodges. We did that at Umani Springs and it was absolutely incredible. Not only was the lodge breathtaking but you get to spend time one on one, three times a day, with the elephants they are reintroducing into the wild. Magical.
That does sound amazing! We'll look into it. 😎👍🏼
Nice!!! From Guyana, been there just few weeks ago

Great vlog 🥰🥰😃👨👩👧👦 Happy family
Thank you 😊
Always impressed with how you two promote Kenya and life on the African continent. Thank you!!!
Great vlog 🤩😇
Glad you liked it!!
My joy is how your family bonds, it's natural kinda jealous😅
You are so kind
You should try the Walk instead of the Safari at Nairobi National Park if you wanna see lions!🤠
Next time then. :)
Love your show guys.... perhaps while you were there you could have entered the orphanage to see lions be it in the cages... So, you don't disappoint the parents completely
We don't like seeing animals in cages to be honest...
❤❤
:)
How much was the park fee to get in? We're wanting to visit there once my immigration nightmare is finished. (The system here is next to impossible to get through, but I'm almost there.)
Have you been up near Naromoru? Years ago, we got to pet an adult black rhino named Morani there
I suggest that you look online because there are many different pricing depending on residency statues and time of the year.
@@DaveMani Oh, that definitely makes sense. I believe it is the same down where we live in Kimana, near the Amboseli gate. It's been quite a few years since I've been in the gate, though.
👍
Cheers!!
If you don’t spot a lion at the Nairobi National park, you can make a quick dash to the Safari walk or Nairobi orphanage which share a gate with the park. The lions will always be there.
That's not the same loll. They have see lions before too but just not in the wild.
👍👌💐🌹
Cheers :)
6 minutes Dave? Just 6?
Sorry sorry! 😆
Did you take them to Maasai Mara?
Not this time.
They did not see any lions at the masai mara?
We didn't go. We did Nairobi, Tsavo and Amboseli.

You guy it brother! :)
Sorry never mind enjoy ur family get together ur summer vacations
Cheers!
No lions! Sorry about that...Next time they'll go to the Mara. They had a great adventure though.
Exactly, this means, next time! :)
I wish this video lasted 10+ mins, maybe you could have found a lion. Good luck next time!
Doing my best here! 😆
Too bad. Animal orphanage has caged lions though.
The Nairobi National Park orphanage and this one have nothing to do with each other. The NNP one is by KWS and this one by Sheldrick.
