    thanks a lot! I was trying to do vmotion in nested esxis but it wasnt working. It seems that i can't add a vkernel solely for vmotion. enabling the vmotion in the default vkernel (management) portgroup for both esxis worked - as you have demonstrated!

    thanks my dear i want to move vm from a hp proliantr esxi 5.5 to aniother dell server esxi 5.5 host to datastore 2 is this possible since manafurerrs are not the same .if not what can i do to move to the dell esxi 5.5 host? thanks
