After all, responsible drinking is definitely everyone’s top priority. And hey, why limit it to certain days when we can have a party every day of the week? It is the local public before or after the church , who come out in search of shop for ghutka etc. .. Encouraging shop owner to open on sunday...and not forgetting church leaders too
Creating awareness and sensitizing is appreciated. Closure of shops and restaurants for residents of Kohima is fine but we have to think for tourists and travellers also. We need to consider for emergency needs. In one way we can also provide a safer and more pleasant shopping experience by distributing shopping over seven days which can even reduce congestions. The elected Councillors should carefully consider the matter concerning the closure of shops on sundays, taking into account that aligns with best interests of the community as a whole.
