Not so. Microbes are there in every part of India. Kerala people have least resistance for such infections. May be long stretch of monsoon and long stretch of cool weather may have aggravated the infection.

I lost my daughter to this disease. There were no symptoms initially. It took almost 4 months for the symptoms to become visible. How is this possible? The doctors didn't mention this in their report. Does the amoeba survive in the brain cells all this time? Also, why did it take this long, considering it had affected the brain? Aren't the symptoms supposed to be visible sooner?
Please reply. We didn't get any closure from the medical team. I don't know what exactly went wrong in my daughter's case

Its impossible to stay 4 months. Symptoms appear within 10 days

There's no proper drainage system now due to apartment life lot of drainage throwing to ruvers and ponds and it is stagnating which is going to be a big threat in india.
Now even in remote areas also started constructing apartments and throwing drain water to nearby paddy fields and rivers etc people educated but of no use being highly educated only to get a job and make living of his own

There was continuous rainfall in kerala for the past few months which may have contributed to algal boom ,many places were flooded with waste water...etc,even mass dead of fishes in lakes were also reported ,apart from all this effective chlorination was alsonot done, and most of the children have spent there summer holidays in ponds and swimming pools
