MORISSETTE SING ′′ SHINE ′′ FOR THE 25TH SONG ANNIVERSARY
After her cover of ′′ Shine," Morissette will release her official recording of the said song
on Friday (May 21) as a celebration of the song's 25th anniversary.
Asia's only Phoenix's rendition of ′′ Shine ′′ is a reintroduction featuring the original
lyrics of the song written by multi-awarded songwriter Trina Belamide.
Trina joined forces with Star Music today for an avid reimagination of a song sung by Ima
Castro and also brought to life by Regine Velasquez-Alcasid.
OPM hitmaker and ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo partnered with Filipino-American
musical director Troy Laureta to give the ′′ Shine ′′ gospel waltz vibe while maintaining its
total sound.
Morissette's version will be launched after she performed the song for years on various occasions
in the country and abroad. His CZcams performance video of ′′ Shine ′′ on Wish Bus has more
than 7.9 million views and it also delivered reaction videos from voice coaches from other
countries who are really impressed with his rendition.
′′ Shine ′′ is a Metropop entry that Ima first recorded and performed by Sweet Plantado's
live at the 1996 Metropop Song Festival in Araneta Coliseum where it was elected second place.
Asia's Songbird sang the song year 2004 for a product commercial and has been part of her
repertoire in many shows since then.
