Rocket had been an insensitive ass to Drax, but with Groot's sacrifice he experiences true grief for the first time, and understands Drax's loss. Drax pets Rocket as a way to both comfort and forgive him. That's how I see it anyway. A great scene that needed no words. Edit: I've watched GOTG 3. I stand corrected on Rocket "experiencing grief for the first time."
Nightmare Moon: But…YOU’RE MORTALS! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!? Twilight: You said it yourself Luna…we’re The Elements Of Harmony! *They blast her with the rainbow*
It was briefly explained in the ending of this movie where, after they gave the Power Stone to the Nova Corps, the Nova Corps said that Peter was half-human and half-something else which is why he held onto the infinity stone longer than any human could. And then in Vol. 2, it turns out he's a demi-god. Boom.
I always thought that it was because they all shared the pain and effects of the stone which in my opinion is a better reason rather than Peter being a literal demigod
He didn't hallucinate it, and she was with him. I lost my mum in may. But she's with me every day, along with my dad. She saw this film with me. And she said Peter's mum was watching over him. If you are lucky enough to have true parents you never, ever lose them
Venar 5912 it’s not really clear, that’s the point. It’s supposed to be interpreted in any way people want to believe. So please don’t tell them they are wrong believing that it wasn’t a hallucination because they are not wrong, nor are you for believing it is a hallucination.
"We're the guardians of the Galaxy" God that was so badass. I think what I love most about this movie is that it blew my expectations so far out of the water.
It took three additional people for Star Lord to use the stone So in Infinity Wars they will need to form a conga line with the Avengers just to use the Gauntlet
+strykerx24 the defenders would basically be useless against someone as powerful as thanos, they're only only low level heroes, except maybe iton fist.
I always thought about what the actors must of made of the scene. It probably took a lot of courage to roll around on the floor yelling and the like without getting embarrassed.
Such an amazing moment of this movie! These individuals who wouldn't care anything for others, finally looking past their own interests to protect the people of Xandar from the danger of the power stone. Not to mention they were almost vaporised by it, but they each stood up to save Quill, thanks to his earlier speech about life and chance, and the example Groot had set by saving his friends from certain death. I have to say that it was also a very incredible part when Ronan looks at his enemies with glee, only to turn to fear and defeat when the misfits who should have been killed by the stone survive against all odds and become a family right in front of him.
Nightmare Moon: But…YOU’RE MORTALS! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!? Twilight: You said it yourself Luna…we’re The Elements Of Harmony! *They blast her with the rainbow*
One of the reasons I love Rocket.. he’s so tough on the outside but really he’s very sweet and understood his mistakes. Right before the ending he crashed his ship into Ronan’s and risked his life to save everyone nearly dying in the process.
this ending is a symbol of what everyone thought of this movie, that it was gonna cracked under its own idea. the joining of hands represents the joining of ideas and cast. stabilizing the entire process and making it work. to me that's why this scene right here is so emotional.
The ending of Infinity War should be something like this the Avengers, the Guardians and whoever else stand together after suffering losses and a severe ass kicking holding all six Infinity stones and just destroy Thanos
I like how the cam was shaking when peter grabbed the power stone and when all of the main characters joined hands together, the camera starts to not shake anymore, showing that they have control of the stone
This is my second favorite ending to a Marvel movie. Obviously Endgame is first, but this isn’t far behind. The grabbing of the hands, the death of Ronan, and the very underrated score.
So maybe in the background of the shot is ego with his tentacles devoring planets. That would be a great easter egg for the next movie, and is not at all obvious to the viewer. Plus this is the space gem so it would stand to reason that peter holding it would take him to his "dad" as he saw his mother there as well. I do believe ego can change its shape at will, but who knows I am guessing here.
Two things: Firstly, the gem seen in Thor: The Dark World is actually the reality gem which Malekith turned it's form to liquid and called it the aether. The space stone was inside the Tesseract which is why it was able to to open portals to the other side of the universe. This orb is the power stone and The mind gem is firmly inplanted inside The Vision's head. The gems we're yet to see are the soul gem and the time gem (green and orange) The time gem will appear in Doctor Strange and The Soul gem will likely appear in Thor: Ragnarok. Secondly, In terms of film continuity Peter's father will be Ego, The Living Planet, played in human form by Kurt Russell. However, in the comics Peter's father is J'son of Spartax. Please, in future before correcting someone relay the actual facts. Cheers
Soundtrack: Black Tears - Tyler Bates

I thought drax had sensitive nipples
Thùy-Anh Thái nice analysis!
It never ceases to amaze me how they got Rocket to work ....the character, not the special effects
He strokes Rocket like a father would stroke his child.. Oh god
That’s where you’re wrong… watch Guardians of the Galaxy 3
"You're mortal...HOW?!"
"We are Groot."
GeekasaurusMike oh god hearing that would have just killed me
GeekasaurusMike "you are mortal... how?"
"Bitch the main actors are payed wayyy to much do die before the end"
We are venom
Gives me goose bumps every time
Jack Newey ditto
Gives me Groot bumps
I'm here in 2020 still getting goosebumps from this!
Came here for the bumps
Im glad that Guardians 2 tells us why peter was able to hold the stone.
The whole time I thought "The power of friendship?"
Nightmare Moon: But…YOU’RE MORTALS! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!?
Twilight: You said it yourself Luna…we’re The Elements Of Harmony!
*They blast her with the rainbow*

That scene where peter hallcuinates his mother get me EVERYTIME
Awkward Gecko this gem doesn’t possess that type of power tho
He didn't hallucinate it, and she was with him.
I lost my mum in may. But she's with me every day, along with my dad.
She saw this film with me. And she said Peter's mum was watching over him.
If you are lucky enough to have true parents you never, ever lose them
@@janesgems7 Sry for your loss but dont put things in it when its already clear...
I tears up everytime when that scene pops up and I am a MAN! A handsome muscular MAN!
Venar 5912 it’s not really clear, that’s the point. It’s supposed to be interpreted in any way people want to believe. So please don’t tell them they are wrong believing that it wasn’t a hallucination because they are not wrong, nor are you for believing it is a hallucination.

psssh, hulk could easily take all six
EDIT as of April 29, 2021: goddamn, I was right. I suppose I should congratulate myself on being a prophet.
+StarWarFan One time he took six in a row...
they'll need the guardian, avengers, and the defenders!
+strykerx24 the defenders would basically be useless against someone as powerful as thanos, they're only only low level heroes, except maybe iton fist.
+StarWarFan How the hell would the Defenders be useless? Hulk, Doctor Strange and Silver Surfer are 3 of the most powerful in the marvel universe
This sequence alone was so absolutely exciting, emotional, beautiful, and so thrilling that I had tears in my eyes.
you're mortal,how ?
we are the main characters
2 of them are genetically engineered, one is half super alien, and another one is a badass alien
hieu nguyen lol
The how is names have Power. He named them the guardians of the galaxy. That gave them the power to do what otherwise couldn't have been done.
Because Power Levels are BULLSHIT!
Because Peter is half celestial
"YOU SAID IT YOURSELF BITCH, WE'RE THE GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY"
the best part
You don't need to quote it, we have ears sweetheart.
Drago Agreed
I always imagine them filming this and them wondering “how is this not going to look stupid” here’s your answer baby
I always thought about what the actors must of made of the scene. It probably took a lot of courage to roll around on the floor yelling and the like without getting embarrassed.
I love this movie... and I had to say when I saw this ending all I could think was... Friendship is Magic...
izy2weird really
Lol...true
+izy2weird That's exactly what I was thinking.
izy2weird uoll love gotg vol. 2
They had the same gift as the kids in Stephen King's It.
This has got to be the greatest end scene in all marvel film, the way they show the true powers of the power gem it's very cool :D
Love this ending, love the Guardians of the Galaxy... Love Marvel ;)
Wzs
RIP Stan Lee
I will always respect you and we love you 3000

The Chicago Bears should sign Peter Quill. Seriously, that was an outstanding catch.
+MegaBubba22 He'd have to have someone decent to throw to him, Cutler sucks.
Michael Awlasewicz Annnd your wish was granted a year later
Ronan: How?
Peter: With the magic of FRIENDSHIP!!!
THANK YOU!! When I first saw this ending in theaters, I was like, "They straight up went My Little Pony on us!"
Nightmare Moon: But…YOU’RE MORTALS! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!?
Twilight: You said it yourself Luna…we’re The Elements Of Harmony!
*They blast her with the rainbow*
Armando Diko Jesus Christ, just no. Stop posting this
With the power of yugi oh!

Truley the best ending in Superhero history ever

That's a pretty analytical view of this scene. I never thought of it that way.
Everyone: "It's a good movie... how?"
Them: "You said it yourself, bitch... we're the Gaurdians of the Galaxy"
IM. A marvel fanatic and that by farrrrr is the best marvel sequence in history the music the flashback the cgi
The guardians just like wow !
NUFF SAID AND NO DOUBT!!
ronan: You're immortal how?
"you said yourself bitch we're the Guardian of the galaxy"
I'm pretty sure he said "You're mortal... how?"
Did he? well you do make a point because he's like "you're mortal how are you alive tho? Thanks for fixing my mistake
Studco Studios did he? Well you do make a point because he's like "you're mortal how are you alive tho? Thanks for fixing my mistake
Ronan: You're a mortal, HOW?
Quill: We need a plot for Volume 2
*winks*
The ending of Infinity War should be something like this the Avengers, the Guardians and whoever else stand together after suffering losses and a severe ass kicking holding all six Infinity stones and just destroy Thanos
Yes, I would cry of pure epicness
+Noah Daglio Yep - and don't forget Loki.
+Noah Daglio no.
+Noah Daglio I think people may pass out at such a badass and epic scene
I thought you were gonna say hold a dance of with Thanos but your idea is good too XD.
Better than the ending in Avengers
both the avengers? I can understand y
I can't remember a single moment in either Avengers movie that was this emotional.
Yep.
The Captain America films were, though.
Scarecrow545 The Iron man movies were emotional except the second one
sure whatever
Burt Macklin's greatest moment.
It's like I'm Starlord, the Infinity stone is your money and Ronan is your happiness.
"your game's unfinished..how?"
"you said it yourself, bitch. we're the cheat coders."
1:08 Ronan Realized this might not pan out like he thought.
Quill and others holds power stone.
It was at this moment that Ronan knew...he fucked up
best marvel movie ever!
Endgame: hold my beer
Absolutely loved this ending, with such an awesome quote to end it on.
At the end of day, Rocket is still a raccoon, so a good old-fasioned pet is all he really needs.
D:
I started to cry when Rocket was crying 😭
Guardians of the galaxy is a amazing movie to watch
Seeing Rocket crying like that and Drax comforting him was so emotional
Said it yourself, we’re the guardians of the galaxy.
I love how the second movie perfectly explains everything
I like how the cam was shaking when peter grabbed the power stone and when all of the main characters joined hands together, the camera starts to not shake anymore, showing that they have control of the stone
Such a great scene been watching the MCU in order and just re watched this film and i had to see this scene again.
Im doing the same thing right now and had to come back after watching. Such a great scene!!
most epic care bear stare style moment ever
"And be a simple kind of man
Oh, be something you love and understand
Baby be a simple kind of man
Oh, won't you do this for me, son, if you can"
god that moment with Drax and Rocket is so beautiful.
Yeah, that last 10 seconds is probably, outside of Groot, the most warmth/caring/affection Rocket has gotten his entire life.
my god we're all so nerdy
AND PROUD!
+Conzioco2308 true
+Conzioco2308 NERDS UNITE
Idk why but the music makes this 10 times better
It made me tear up when I saw rocket crying because Groot died and when star-lord saw his mom and he started crying
Best scene in any marvel film
One of the most intense endings I've ever seen!
このシーンは本当に泣けるね

Still the most epic part ever!
god i remember when this movie came out, this scene hit me in the feels really hard
I get goose-bumps every time! So awesome!
What made this movie was this ending. That and also groot.
This still gives me chills. I absolutly love this movie.
Amazing scene of the film (spoiler alert).
Typically a human would be killed by that device, except Star Lord.
tara lynn ***** :D
He is part alien, because his father is an alien.
Speedy Diamond
That's right, I totally forgot.
+Benny “The Christian Neko” Moonwalker His father is an alien wich happens to be the emperor of a planet that I can't recall it's name now
+Speedy Diamond wait how can two different species reproduce?
0:37 FUCKING BEAST
The music score gives me goosebumps
I get goosebumps every time I watch this
I want Agent Coulson to be holding The Infinity Gauntlet in the end with everybody joining hands for him to use this ability that would be beautiful
Man I love this movie!
"You're mortal, How?" GOTG Volume 2 answer: "I'm a celestial."
Gänsehaut 😍
Omg this was 7 years old wow I feel old
This is my second favorite ending to a Marvel movie. Obviously Endgame is first, but this isn’t far behind. The grabbing of the hands, the death of Ronan, and the very underrated score.
The end of this video always makes me tear up. Groot dude
Strength Come In Numbers!!!!
1:39 the best assemble scene ever
BEST MOVIE EVER PERIOD
Not the best
I still can't believe this ending is similar to the my little pony scenes when the mane 6 defeat villians
I watched this so many times
This scene was so awesome.
The score at 1:45- so epic. Ugh I love it! Really gives this scene power
these movies will never be the same.
I thought I would never be interested in marvel but this movie just is attached to me
Drax' love at the end reminded me of Master Splinter's speech to the turtles. When he reminds them that they are all his sons.
one of the greatest scene in cbm
2:27 i feel you Rocket
I was looking for baby Groot dancing.
i got so hyped during this scene
" We are the guardiens of the galaxy,, once of the best epic ending ever!!!
Okay, am I the only when crying all Rocket is sobbing?
No you are not
beautiful scene.
Awesome soundtrack
best scene and score in the movie
The best defeat of the supervillain of all Marvel films. I love every moment of this movie.
Chills man
So much winning, and yet so much losing, when thanos just destroys Xandar and takes the power stone anyways in Infinity War
So epic!
Rocket: I live for the simple things. like how much the sequel's gonna rock.... 😁
The call back to his mom is just brilliant writing.
This...
Is the best ending to any film I've seen man. This truly.
Is epic.
I cried in this scene
I love how he pats Rocket at the end

2 things thats the power gem the space gem was in thor the dark world. Second Peters father is Mister Knife the spartax emperor.
Two things:

The space stone was inside the Tesseract which is why it was able to to open portals to the other side of the universe. I like how he said you said it yourself birch cool ending love marvel
Julio Larios pretty sure he said bitch
The power....
