  • Join Anton Krupicka and Stefan Griebel as they attempt to break the unsupported fastest known time on the Longs Peak Triathlon. The rules are simple; start in the parking lot of North Boulder, bike to the Longs Peak Trailhead (38 miles), run to the base of the Diamond (6-7 miles), climb the Diamond via the Casual Route (5.10), tag the summit of Longs Peak (14,259ft), run back to the trailhead, and bike back to Boulder.

Although Stefan gets portrayed as the weaker partner, he himself is a complete beast in the mountains. Stefan has the record on the Naked Edge in Eldo and is a very strong hill runner and mountain biker as well as a world-class awesome person.

Anton was clipless and... on a way better bike. May not seem like a lot, but there is a significant huge difference what bike gear will do.

Anton has a crazy amount of pure mountain running miles under his belt. This guy stopped running that much around 31 due to many overuses running injuries. This guy is a beast has kialan he just over run. Now he use more cross training too keep the pace and be injury free

Often times, we bring the same limiting beliefs and behavioral patterns in to whatever new and liberating passion we tout as being "life-changing". For instance, if we struggle with issues of control, we might too heavily emphasize data and metrics as they pertain to our daily progress in ultra running-even though we might say that ultra running is a means of chilling out. Anton seems to have a keen awareness of this; that alongside his intrinsic love for nature and the mountains is a love for dissolving his limiting beliefs. I think that these two components in tandem is what effects "a real mountain person".
