These are really great tips. Thank you. Test prep companies don't really emphasize this

Highlight key words from reading (enzymes) allows you to narrow down wanted elements, map things out,

Hi! I like your videos so far! Would you consider doing a video on "how to learn from your mistakes" i.e. your approach to correcting practice problems, correcting exams, and what you looked for when you answered something correctly? Also, how you came to "understand" the test itself...

Good to hear! That's a great idea and I can definitely do a video on it. Could you clarify what you mean by "understand" the test?

Yes, I wrote that comment in a hurry so I apologize if I was unclear. These were really two distinct suggestions, the first being a "how to learn from your mistakes video."
I've read that after a student completes enough practice problems and practice tests that you begin to get a "feel" or an understanding for correct and incorrect answers more instinctively and less systematically.
I'm curious if the above is true or not. If you believe it to be true, then what specific suggestions do you have for pre-medical students to get to that level of understanding?
      Does that make sense?
      -Thanks for replying!!!

Also, it might be worth considering providing examples in your future tips videos if you want to get fancy! i.e. show a passage and narrate over your thought process or something like that...

I was also wondering if you have any problem-solving shortcuts that will save you much time than working in a long formula or ways. like for example a shortcut for figuring out the orbital configuration of a substance or a molecule sp3, sp3d3 etc, and general shortcuts. I would really appreciate that.

    Hello!
Not sure if you have been asked this previously, but, did the AAMC's practice exams for 2015 MCAT resemble the MCAT you took? If so, did you feel like it was a good representation?
Thanks for your time, great videos!

My MCAT is this Saturday. What would you recommend doing the day before and what food would you recommend taking to the test?

    • @thefuturedoctorjournal6493

Awesome! The two days before the exam should definitely be rest days, literally no content or review. You definitely want a clear head going into the exam. This last week make sure you follow the sleep schedule you have planned for the night before. I think 8-9 hours should be a good goal to shoot for if you don't already. As for food go with something convenient and also enjoyable. I went with a couple protein bars and some fruit. If you want healthy food choices for energy then a fruit as a source of carbs for energy and nuts as a protein and fat source would all be good choices. But ultimately I think foods you enjoy are best as a small reward or treat that you get to enjoy on your breaks at the end of each section. Definitely make full use of your breaks so you can get in the right mindset for the next section. I also made use of the bathroom between each section just in case. Good luck on your exam! Go into the exam confident, knowing that you're gonna kill the exam and you will.

Take a vitamin B supplement with you and before the test (keeps you asks without crashing or buzzing).
