My father had this album in the early 60's and I spent long hours listening to the great songs dreaming of being a cowboy. The cowboy dream never materialized, but this beautiful song can bring tears to my eyes as I reminisce.

My mother played the Norman Luboff choir albums, when I was a child in the early sixties, she had several albums by them, including the songs of the cowboy album, the music meant a lot to me then, I remember the songs very well; and it still does; I have not heard this music since then, so thanks very much.

amazing song. i grew up listening to these guys at my grandparents house, glad to see that this fantastic group has made its way to the internet. it needs to be saved for future generations. i know ill be playing this for my kids and grandkids in the future

Hello, and thank you for commenting! This choir's album (Songs Of the West) was one of my first lp's in the 1950s. I'm glad I was able to locate another good copy, as well as this one, and 'Songs of the Trail', to digitize and upload. Timeless and enjoyable music.
