My ancestors arrived in Independence the same year as the Ingalls’. My grandparents are all buried a very short distance from Dr. Tann.
That’s very interesting. I have to admit I’ve never read the books but looked up the grave of Dr. Tann and see that he doctored the family for malaria. Wish I would have known about that the day I was out there. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much!.....from Spain (Europe)
Awesome, thank you!
I wish we could have seen the inside of the houses and post office. Thank you for the video. I want to take a vacation and travel the path Laura did.
Thanks I wish I could’ve seen the inside too. Unfortunately I went during the off-season but it was still interesting to see and read the signs. Glad you enjoyed!
Very nice video! Thank you so much! I used to watch The Little House on the Prairie as a child! Loved the strong family bonds in the Ingalls family! 😊
Thanks for joining along on the adventure Marianne glad you enjoyed!
Same here. I still like it
What a fascinating video! Thank you so much for sharing this!
Thanks Lola! I have a few other Laura Ingalls Wilder videos on my channel if interested. My most popular is the one in Mansfield, MO but I’ve also filmed her homestead in De Smet, SD and Walnut Grove, MN. My next goal is to film her birthplace in Wisconsin. Glad you enjoyed!
Mules, Ponies, and Horses. Cool!
The place is kept up pretty nice.
Grew up watching this Tv show.
Great work Spencer.
There's no place like home!
Thanks David! It’s funny, I’ve been to 2 Laura Ingalls Wilder sites now and still have never read the books or watched the show lol. Have a great weekend!
Thanks for showing the video. From scotland
No problem 👍
Nice! I did one of their place in Burr Oak, Iowa!
Thanks I’d like to visit that one! So far I’ve just been here and her home in Mansfield, MO.

@@kcvids816 thank you, Very nice to meet you too :-)
The simplicity of your Video, without commentary, is very, nice. You helped place people in your steps.
Thank you.
Thanks Bill that’s very kind of you!
Beautiful museum! 😊
Thank you!
Never realized how much was actually there! Love all the signs. Can visitors enter the house?
Thanks Marty! Yeah i believe it is open from March-November and the grounds are open year-round.
Drove by that so many times, on the big highway, but never stopped...Shame on me, Shame on
the Moon... ( Where did THAT come from? Lol) Now, will have to get in there for sure ! Those little fellas looked like they were waiting on some sort of treat ! That house is just gorgeous..
Will have to get here, for sure..Thanx for sharing this film ! Oklahoma is BLANK ???? ! Lol
( Laura sure had some great quotes..Oh...I'm gonna put up that "Super Blood Moon" Sun. !
Cool idea for a museum. Thanks for showing it :) I forgot the show was based on a real family... O.o
And the show was based on the books :) Thanks George!
Thank you for sharing this. I've never seen this site, in person or on film, so it was fun to see it. The eye of imagination fills in the rest.
I must take my wife to experience this! :) @5:31 you can see where they added onto the house. @12:30'ish... They paid the Osage 1/100 of what the land was worth. Great video, I love the "Soundtrack"!
You should! There’s also a Laura Ingalls Wilder home in Mansfield, Missouri. That one is more popular but I kinda liked this one better because of the horses lol. Thanks for watching!

Wonderful video! I'll have to make it down there someday. I can see why you picked up a lot of subscibers from this. Well Done!
Thanks Tommy! The one that really took off was my video of her home in Mansfield, Missouri. I actually liked this place better though.
@@kcvids816 Ohhhh! Well I'll have to check that one out too!
They won’t let anyone film inside of the Mansfield location which is pretty lame lol. I think this one lets you film inside when the buildings are open but they were closed for the winter on my visit. Thanks again!
@@kcvids816 Ohhh yeah, I would probably go to this one then. And that's a nice big set up. I Pepin, Wisconsin, it's just one little cabln and that's it.
Thanks 🙏from Brazil 🌸
Thank you Patricia greetings from Missouri! :)
Interesting stuff , i remember when i was a kid , watching the TV series on telly , i had a crush on Mary
You devil you 🤣
Very nice thank you 🙏
Thanks Kelly!
Cool. Hmm maybe i missed something Charles had to leave the land cause it was on the Osage reserve land. But i guess many years later was it acquired by a family sometime in the 1900s???? Was the land acquired back to the USA so could settlers go again farm it? Is it still Indian land???? So what did happen to the original cabin Pa Ingalls had built? So the original well he made is still there wow.
I’m not sure what happened to the original cabin but I assume it just wasn’t preserved and fell apart over time. It is no longer Indian land and is open to the public. Here’s a little info about the reconstructed cabin from the museum’s website which I’ll link below..
“The cabin that now sits on the Little House on the Prairie Museum site was reconstructed according to Laura Ingalls’ own descriptions by Brigadier General William A. Kurtis and his wife, Wilma Horton Kurtis, with the help of volunteers from the local chapter of the Jaycees from Independence in 1977.”

I loved the video but I have to say that the 🐎🐴animals and place look soo lonely😔 but other than that everything looked bright and sharp 😊 thanks for sharing I really do appreciate it I hope🕊that everyone has a wonderful day/ evening where ever you are from ⛅🌈🕊🌄take care and God bless😇 I wish everyone ☮☯️💗from me here in Ontario 🇨🇦🙋♀️🕊oh just one little thing I'm just wondering if any of the cast from the show of 🏠🌄🐎👨🌾👩🌾ever been to any of these place🤔😊
Thank you very much Dorothy! If I’m ever out that way again I’ll try to get some photos inside when it’s open. I think all of the buildings are open during the spring/summer. I’m not sure if any of the cast members have visited but they should! lol. Have a great Sunday 😃
Thank you for this interesting tour, you are lucky, If I were there I would live away from the smoke of cars.
Thank YOU zahaf karim!
Fascinating reading those signs mate. It was a slow day for tourists. Was it closed when you went there?
Thanks Big Gaz yeah the buildings are only open March-November I believe.
Video is recorded at 2160p 4K, looks very sharp.

That was Indian territory, not their, and that's why they moved
I went to her last house in Missouri May 2019
Cool it’s an interesting place!
I would love to go there. Does anyone like in the farmhouse
I don’t think so. As far as I know the farmhouse is a museum but it was closed during my visit. Someone must come by regularly though because the horses seemed pretty healthy. Thanks for watching and hope you get a chance to visit someday!
