- This is a video of trains arriving, departing, and passing through JR Hineno Station during the weekday evening rush hour (from 4pm to 7pm). The video shows the Hanwa Line's rapid, section rapid, local, Kansai Airport Rapid, and Kishu-ji Rapid trains, as well as the Kuroshio and Haruka express trains. The Kuroshio trains are the Panda Kuroshio and Rocket Kairos trains, as well as the regular 287 and 289 series trains, and the Haruka trains are the Hello Kitty Haruka trains, which are not wrapped in paper.
This is a station with two island platforms and four tracks, where the Kansai Airport Line branches off on the Wakayama/Kansai Airport side. Platforms 1 and 2 are for Wakayama/Kansai Airport and Tennoji, where trains depart and return, while platforms 3 and 4 are mainly for Tennoji. The Kansai Airport/Kishuji Rapid trains arrive and depart from platforms 2 and 3.
Many Kansai Airport Rapid and Kishu Rapid trains are coupled from the Osaka Loop Line to Hineno Station, and trains bound for Kansai Airport and Wakayama are split (uncoupled) into two trains at this station, while trains bound for Osaka are coupled together.
The video shows this coupling process (10 times) and the first four cars being uncoupled and departing first (9 times).
Since the Haruka is in the evening, trains bound for Kansai Airport stop there, trains bound for Kyoto pass by, and all Kuroshio trains stop there.
You can also see the Hineno-bound rapid train arrive at platform 1, and the Hineno-bound rapid train bound for Tennoji depart from platforms 1 and 3.
