@@nonkyteja the country itself is an expat friendly. Cost of living is lesser than any gcc country.

@@nonkyteja Over a decade spent in Bahrain, it's amazing for expat living. Great schools, friendly people etc.
However some drawbacks:
- Driving is nuts, saudis are crazy on the road, thursday night driving in Bahrain is just hell sometimes.
- Business of the country entirely depends on saudis coming over on the weekend.
- Small island so you might go a little crazy if you want to explore more and more.
- King Fahd into SA during peak hours is insane, but I'm pretty sure most borders are like this so it's a given.
Apart from that go (moderately) wild, great restaurants, lots of culture everywhere, low crime rate and extremely friendly people.
Also way too many malls, god know why this small island needs so many, main ones are of course city centre and the avenues (absolutely beautiful). Parking again in these malls is a pain on weekends.
Also, you can very easily get by without any Arabic knowledge, most if not practically everyone speaks it to a degree. I'd say knowing bangla or hindi could get you talking to more people haha.
If you're looking for places to drink socialise etc. check out the British Club, could ease the boredom when you're stuck there for years.
