doesn't work on S10 lite, volume up + power / volume down + power, type c jack in / jack out tried all, cant get into recovery, just restarts. thanks.

Samsung on Verizon sucks balls but I never had any issues with any Samsung I've ever owned other than the tiny buggy issue for the very first Note Edge where the curve was first introduced and we all knew it was going to have glitching lol we expected it and it came. Not a issue at all at this point when the next device had zero issues and much more new and innovative programming and design by two curved edges wrapping around plus a larger platform and even more tech from the constant pen upgrades but you can not compare the Hardware and Software in any Samsung vs any competitor from the same release date 📅 🤣

This stuff is especially useful for people who keep their devices well past the point of still receiving valid updates, Mr buttplug. Also, this is basically wiping the phones temporary files & sometimes those files can become corrupted, essentially giving the phone an extra chromosome. But, unlike people, many annoying bugs & glitches caused by an extra chromosome can be fixed by doing this. ...without waiting for a system update.

On the Samsung App Store, Samsung have an app called Galaxy Labs. A bit like Good Lock, it has various modules. One is called Galaxy App Booster, which optimises the OS and every app on it. It also asks to run it after each OS update. The advantage of this is you can use your phone at the same time, it's official from Samsung and avoids the need of other cables/going into the boot menu.

Since then my Phone App and SMS App did not work properly anymore. It was really bad. Through the Samsung Community I got the link to your Video. - Super ! Thanks again ! (just as a tip: for S10 you have to press the Bixby Button, Volume Up and On Button all together, to get into Recovery Mode) Simone, a user from Switzerland.
Fun fact: In a major update, it is necessary to clear the cache partition and repair the apps.
So the update software does these automatically. You don't need to do this manually.
So why is my phone so buggy after update??

I did this to my note 10+ when the edge screen kept freezing and it totally worked. I did both steps a few weeks ago!
So I have another question that's about this. Ive got another note10+ that is "too cold to charge" (pretty sure att fried it internally) so, its got this ⚠️ symbol on the dead phone. Is this reboot thing something I could do to try to fix it? Or is this " too cold to charge " thing just then end of the phone? Thanks !!

I just followed throw with the setups to see if it would do anything or make it feel faster. Nothing was wrong with the phone in the first place but this made things feel a little bit faster on the phone an apps seem to open just a little faster good tips.

I've owned my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra for 9 months now, so I followed these step by step instructions to clear the cache & repair apps. It was successful; I didn't lose any data & the phone functions normally. Faster? Maybe a little bit. It wasn't really slow to begin with, but I am a believer in maintenance.

You can clear the Cache Partition on every single Samsung SmartPhone BUT the last option to Optimise Apps isn't available on ALL Samsung SmartPhones, I know the Galaxy S8 hasn't got the option and I just assumed that older phones wouldn't have that option either !?
My Galaxy S9+ has got the Optimise Apps option as I used it when I received the One Ui2.5 update and it definitely helps !!

One can get the Galaxy Labs app on the Samsung Store. I use it to optimize the apps after an update or even if I feel the phone is running slow. The app also has Battery Guardian, Battery checker, and a File Guardian. Hope this helps.

Yep, ALWAYS do a wipe cache partition after updates, beside monthly security patches, but App Repair... that is some black juju there! Must go do it... see you on the other side!

Just gone and looked how much ram available now after doing these things and a .7gb increase in available I couldn't work out why so much was taken up after a no such thing as too much ram 👊🏼👍🏻

For optimise your apps, you can install on the Galaxy Store the Galaxy Labs app and the Galaxy App Booster
Why install an app when it's already built into your phone? It's not necessary nor would I recommend this.

Just use "gesture navigation bar" instead of classical one, and enable "gesture hints". If you cannot find that, you can try installing this app, and follow instructions: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xda.nobar
