    Hi Tony, and as usual it is a treat to come with you to the junk yard. But it is a pity that this owners care so little about the customers, clean the ground up for heaven sake from trees and junk.👍👍

      Thank you! The original owner who left those cars there is long dead, and it was handed off to the sons. It was a time when these cars weren't known to be worth anything.

    Great video Mr. Tony! Very interesting and we are sure you are helping many car collectors find needed parts. We always learn something from your videos - on this one how you measured where to put the emblems on your new LTD. Fascinating! Whatever you decide to do with your car it will look good as it is a beautiful car. Take good care! Roseann and Dan

    Seeing that base LTD with the factory alarm and locking hood release was super kewl. I love those odd ball ordered cars. Wouldn't it be kewl to find a coupe, sedan or wagon that was ordered with every since available option so anyone could see what they could have ordered?? I've seen fairly loaded cars but at most they were 85% loaded. I have yet to see one in the 90% or 100%. Oh well.

    When you go back get all those hood ornament bases the mounts I have plenty of the top Parts in great condition. I need the lower rockers for the back quarter panels I thought I just take a lower rocker panel and cut it to fit. For my 76 LTD. The little Chrome collar rings for the mirrors I need two of them left and the right, I put Lincoln Continental Mark 5 mirrors on my car they fit they look great better than the Ford ones. I just need to collar rings for the joystick is on the interior. They're actually the same size as the nut on that hood ornament base and that car you were looking at.

As far as the LTD with that alarm, yes, that is the only 73-74 LTD I've ever seen with it, and I've seen one 74 Mercury with it, and both of them were in this junkyard!

    That Cadillac does have appliance wheels. They were extremely expensive in their time adjusted for inflation they were almost 1000$ a wheel or some insanity. They should be recovered. The trees going thru the cars is lovely. It shows the politics of the owners. And the saving driveshafts to me is a sign of the previous generation that did engine changes and needed longer and shorter driveshafts. Sorry to cover so many topic in one comment but thanks for another entertaining video.

    • @AlexanderWaylon
      @AlexanderWaylon Před 3 měsíci +1

      I reviewed the video again and used the zoom function in landscape I’m confident they are the “Appliance” genuine wire wheel. Those cars had three different wire wheel configurations. Simulated disc. Genuine GM wire wheel which has a cone to it but otherwise resembles a 1980s Lincoln Mark VI/Town Car wire wheel in a way and is an aluminum wheel I believe, and these Appliance wire wheels, which were a “dealer accessory.” I believe they are missing the narrow beauty ring; and are obviously in the condition they are in. Perhaps photograph them closely with still frame and video and send them to your contact? They are rare, might be able to be rebuilt and restored. The market is beginning to favor the 70s and 80s big cars and trucks as you well know.

    Hey there! Enjoy your ‘self help’ videos. If you come across a mid body side molding for a 1978 passenger’s door…the skinny type with the black insert at a junk yard, hit me up! Need it for my 1978 LTD WAGON! Not of course the press on type like on your Mercury Marquis brougham parts car for your wagon. Would love to find mini vents and the upgraded door panels in blue like you did for,your country squire for my ‘78 LTD WAGON1.

      Thanks so much! At some point I might get ambitious enough to hunt down mini vents for our wagon! Also trying hard as hell to find the red-dotted center caps for the deep dish aluminum wheels! They came on the Landau as you know as an option. Rare as hen’s teeth!

    • @tonyscarcare5657
      @tonyscarcare5657  Před 2 měsíci

    • @chippoz
      @chippoz Před 2 měsíci +1

      You’re I’m sure correct on the wheels. Our car came with the color coded landau wheel covers…got tired of them flying off and having to have new ones painted. Then I put a set of deep dish wheels with the Lincoln center caps just to make my life easier. I have a set of those deep dish wheels on my ‘74 TBird which saves me from flying off wheel covers as well! Enjoyed your “Adam videos” and learned a lot. Keep the channel going!
