she is reading and her accent is not all native. i thought she could speak without any accent but it is not true. Her brother Constantin of Greece has a strong greek accent.
@@stateless4255 of course she has an accent, English is not her native language. She was born in Greece, was educated in Germany and as Queen of Spain, she has spent half her life in a Spanish speaking country. Having an accent does not mean you are not fluent in a language.
Indeed. As a matter of fact having a native accent is not a guarantee of proficiency in a language. There are lots of uneducated people with native accents in any country. I don´t know what the big deal is about sounding "native", whatever that should mean@@nestorperez6867

Well she was born into the Greek royal family. It is said that when Sofia married the then prince Juan Carlos they spoke English between them.
According to her mother (Queen Frederica)'s autobiography "A Measure of Understanding", she spoke English to their children while her husband (King Paul) spoke Greek to them when they were growing up. Therefore, Queen Sofía is technically bilingual in English.
