Not sure what species, maybe a Cooper's or a Red Tail, not sure, if you do, pipe up in the comments, please. But it came for the little birds that flock in our garden.
Looks like a Cooper's, thanks for sharing. I had one visit my feeders on Friday I know because there was a large blood spot and a bunch of feathers on the snow below and it is usually a Coopers Hawk. Cheers.
+Kevin Bradley Thank Kevin. Really amazing birds. Each spring we get a visitation. Not sure if it is the same one, or a different one, but one will come and hang out for an afternoon or two and then go away again. This one had little fear of me - I go within 10-15ft of it.
+Norman J DO you think it is a juvie? Every spring we get a visitation, never have known if they are the same bird, or maybe a string of young birds leaving the nest.
