Kelly doesn’t have to say d*#k to you!!! As usual Sipowicz was spot on when he was sober in the early eps. A very WEAK moment for Medavoy, great that his character evolved over the series’ run as well.
Andy would stick up for anyone and even fight for them and take a beating if necessary, IF that person was a good, honest and honourable person. He was the best friend you could ever have under those circumstances. Gotta love him for that even if his "Pit Bull" approach wasn't always understood or appreciated...
As usual Andy come in with his huge bullhorn sticking up for Kelly when he can speak for himself. If I was Kelly I really would have ripped Andy a new one. Looking back this was a nagging problem with the show. A character sticking up for another when it isn’t needed. As blunt as Kelly can be in an interview he can be as easily blunt with his fellow cops. Andy butt out!!!
"I said I wanted to listen!"

Andy: Every Cops Best Partner!
Good Cop Bad Cop
One of those weird early scenes with Greg where he doesn’t seem exactly himself yet.

I just see it as sticking up for his friend, who he knows was sick about having to wear a wire to get the old cop.
