When i was a kid we used have a caravan up the hill, fond memories of buying my fishing net from the gift shop and spending the day in the rock pools. 👍🏾❤️
Sounds lovely. Borth sounds like it hasn’t changed much. 👍
Thanks, I'm going to brynowen next month, went to borth about 10 years ago when there was a lot of sea defence work being done and the beach was off limits.
I have wonderful memories of Borth in April 1986 and also July 1987 which I look back with fondness and joy. I love you video of Borth in Wales.
It’s golden to reminisce, and thank you for taking the time to tell us!
@@thirdratecontent585 Your very welcome xxx
Indeed Robert plant does have a large house on the road to mac, and he lives a couple of miles up the road from us in shatterford, when I visit there I always stay on the car park up at ynyslas. So it's good to see all the little streets and cut throughs, I'm 39 now and been going there since the 80s for our yearly holiday, well done boss keep up the good work you
Thank you for the kind words their very much appreciated!
Hi. Good content. 14m30s in you mention the old music venue, that was actually a garage and petrol station, the tanks are still in the ground. We have many connections to big bands here in Borth. Pop into the Acorn Chip shop and ask, especially as you like Sabbath. Also the Friendship Inn is having a refurb, covid came and delayed it. It will open again. See you in the Railway Inn maybe, mainly on the dart board. Cheers
Thank you and thanks for the correction 👍 I’m hoping to get to Borth next month so I’ll be around the place (definitely in the Railway, and the Acorn lol) Also that is amazing news about the Freindship!! Can’t wait to call in when it opens!
Off to Borth in April, thanks for the quirky introduction.
Thank you! Hope you have a lovely time, Borth is a bit quirky and so is TRc 🤣👍
Brought back some memories of childhood holidays in Borth.
It’s nice sometimes to have a stroll down memory lane 👍
As usual I watch your content during me Sunday dinner. Lol. I would love to live near the sea some people are so fortunate living there , great video Dan best wishes Phil 👍
Thank you Phil very kind of you to say so, living by the sea would be lovely tho as someone else said the winters can be challenging. Mealtimes with TRc that’s awesome ☺️👍
Thanks, that was enjoyable. You have a good eye for vernacular architecture. My cousin knows (faintly) Robert Plant, apparently he is a good bloke! Whatever you think of his music LOL.
Thank you Vic very kind of you to say so. I’m sure RP is a sound guy tho he sure knows how to give a “look” 😂👍.
good vid m8 been there years ago with me family
I doubt it’s changed a great deal since then mate 👍
Enjoyed that, thank you. A friends family had one of the fisherman's cottages on the sea front as a holiday property in the 70s. Every Spring they would come to Borth with a certain trepidation to see what damage the Winter winds and tides had caused. There was always a need to rectify the inside. Daunting through the Winter months but fabulous through the Summer.
Thank you Chris this is interesting to hear. I would like to see Borth in the winter especially the seas. Tho like you say it must be scary if your home is in the path of it when it’s raging
Love this but I love borth discovered by accident 8yrs ago. Fell in love
It really is a treasure of a place. And thank you 👍
My wife and I enjoyed this third rate tour of Borth, Dan.
Thank you Paul 👍
Thanks for the video. I visited Borth for the first time in 1970 and then a few more times.
Excuse me, but the location at 14:10 wasn't a town hall or
similar. It had been a gas station and garage since 1949, Lerry Garage.
See this link: file:///I:/Borth%20Info/adx1629.beryl.d.lewis.houses.of.borth.lerry_garage_site.pdf
It’s a pleasure and thanks for the additional info/correction. 👍
