The bunt by Rosario was probably the most impressive highlight. I can remember when the bunt was a BIG part of certain player's arsenal (Otis Nixon, Vince Coleman etc). Obviously that was years ago. I am not comparing Eddie to either one of those players but it was still nice to see it used to advance the runner.

That’s unselfish team ball. We have very versatile players but we revert to the free swinging style all too often. Last year’s playoffs was egregious, they played selfish but I hope they break out small ball often in certain situations so that the many fly outs we hit can turn into something. That’s a tough team to stop.
I could be wrong but I think that might be the Braves first sac bunt of the year and he wasn’t trying to sac bunt but that’s how it worked out
I remember when Brett Butler would lay one down , anywhere , any count whether it was the first inning or the last. Truly a lost art.
I remember a year or two ago when the Braves tried their first bunt of the season in either game 161 or 162.
I dunno how to say this but… Eddie’s sac bunt was the best thing I’ve seen all season🥹

Agreed! The Homer's are great! And happy to see Rosario back on a Braves uni.. but with the ups and downs of this year, it's gonna take the little things for us to have a chance this year. I'm thinking wild card at best for us. Fingers crossed no more injuries so we can keep a solid staff. We lost our ace and mvp but we did it in 21, we can do it again

Also, I have only been to 3(including tonight) and this was my first time seeing the Braves win in person since June 4th, 1991, the game Dale Murphy returned as a Phillie.

It’s all for the playoffs. That Wild Card is really a disadvantage (why some Braves fans want it, I don’t know) but it’s good to build some depth and get him the reps.
Sure wish the Braves could figure it out. Just when you think the bats are back, they aren't. Fingers are crossed that AA gives us something before the trade deadline. Also, I just gotta say. Analytics has said that thats the only time u really should bunt in that situation. It ended up not making a difference bc u got a hit and u wasted an out.
BS. Analytics doesn't take into account the different mindset of both the pitcher and the hitter in the situation they were in after the sac bunt, and there's no way to know of the outcome, being a hard hit, would've been the same if the runner was still in 1st with one out, or even if it was 1st and 2nd, no outs.
These sorts of statements, and analytics as a whole bother me at times for that reason.

I don't know how much we should rely on analytics and of course it doesn't take into account those things bc those things are too abstract. We can only really focus on things that we can analyze. I think there needs to be a balance with analytics and gut feelings but this is what happens when u put winning above all esle
