● Tidehunter's Tactics is the first video I made with Source Filmmaker.
As a fan of Dota 2 I wanted to bring a little more life to its world.
This short clip is about two of my favorite characters, Kunkka and Tidehunter, because I like the way they hate/love one another.

A little sad announcement,
here's the situation:
I love making Dota 2 shorts but you must understand that it takes a lot of time,
when I say a lot of time I mean more than a full month of work.
Because my IRL job is already keeping me busy most of the day, my free time is very limited,
In another words, I can't continue doing Dota 2 shorts right now…
I am not giving up though! When I’ll have free time again, (this year I am pretty sure) I’ll continue to work on episode 2.

The best SFM movie I have ever seen - independent of the game/genre (TF2 etc). Everything is just top notch and easily compared with the production value of Valve's SFMs!!! Keep it up!!

I was thinking DOTA2 needed more cinematic trailers for us to be more familiar with the heroes. Now that i've seen your amazing work, i want more! Such great animation! Perfect timing and expressions and choice of dialogue and everything! Keep up the good work!
I do have to say, the entire Episode was done beautifully. I think the cockyness of Kunkka was the biggest highlight of the video, it made me laugh so hard. XD And the opening scene with Tidehunter, that too was amazing. There was just so much amazing in this video, I hope you can keep finding the time to make these; you got some serious talent worth appreciating.

Ha,there goes your top notch "move ragdolls in weird angles and positions with shitty lighting" animation...
ignore the assholes edje. Any real animator knows that its not easy to do and these trolls probably don't even know the difference between IK and FK limb rigs. Or what rigs even are. Literally every 3D animator can learn from something from another animator. Keep doing what you're doing man. I'm actually curious now, do you have any schooling in animation or are you self taught?

I Agree with most of what your saying Alex, but after seeing Edje's video's and seeing that 90% of his animations are crude unpolished Motion capture animations, i dont really think this applies to him.
