It was better that way. Always having something fun to look forward to week to week. Binge watching makes for a short burst of fun, but it's nowhere near as fun and satisfying as watching a storyline build up and resolve over the course of a year or several years.

The week wait was inconvenient. The year wait after a shocking/intriguing season finale was the painful part.

I agree, I only watched parts of the first season when I was younger and my parents stopped after Season 2. I got them to watch it from the beginning with me and we just finished it all past week. I had many questions after each episode and it would have driven me crazy to have to wait.

Ronni G You obviously aren't looking at the same thing I'm looking at when you speak about beauty. For instance, I find Michael Emerson to be a very beautiful being because he has a heart of gold and a very intelligent mind. And you, my dear friend, I don't even have to know what you look like (not that it matters), because you've already proven yourself to be ugly on the inside, with that snarky, nasty response of yours. Unlike YOU, I don't judge people by the way they look, I judge them by the way they behave and the way they treat others. It doesn't matter how beautiful you are on the outside, what matters is if you are respectful and kind to those around you. However, you've failed to do either one of those things. Pretty sad, I must say. You have confidence, I'll give you that, but you're using it in the wrong way. We could have been friends. Pity you had to say something nasty instead of something logical.

I LOVE that you think I have a snarky, nasty response! I am actually quite a lovely woman, but that isn't important. I said what I said, I love your educated, and caring response...I still think his PHYSICAL countenance is not the BEST it could be, but I love him for his acting prowess...Does that make things feel better somewhat?
We do not need to be friends, but I want you to understand I appreciate his HEART and his great, gentle soul.....but PHYSICALLY (if UI were to paint him) he is not LOVELY...you know?
I could go on about myself and my accomplishments but it doesn't matter here...Just like with DONALD TRUMP winning the election. It doesn't matter who he is or who he was...he said and did what he said and did like a normal, functional member of American society...he said things he regrets...you regret...others may persecute him for saying....it doesn't matter...we have the right to say and feel what we feel...

The Lost Finale was perfect. It absolutely fit and honestly the people who don't like it, truly don't get it. They answered almost all the major questions, although very subtly sometimes. Lost was a show you have to pay very close attention to, if you didn't, you probably missed some things. I count Lost as the best tv series ever made and the finale was the best episode of the series. I'm aware some people didn't like it...they are the ones missing out.

I've made this comment before, but it's really just opinion. For me, the Finale was too sappy. I didn't love it. Lost is the best show I've ever seen and I appreciate that the show ended with closure, but I didn't love the last episode. That doesn't mean I don't get it, I completely do. Now people who say that the ending meant they were dead the whole time and in purgatory, I agree totally either missed something or didn't get it at all!

These characters could have died at any time and it wouldn’t have mattered. Also, why was Jack’s dad the one who guided them into heaven? He was an awful person in real life. And there’s the thing about mysteries not getting answered in a MYSTERY show.

You know, that's the crazy part for me when I read the bazillion reviews und critics that have been written about the ending. They all say that things haven't been tied up, that the questions weren't answered. I think that's because all of them were waiting for the last episode to get answers und for the storylines to tied up. But actually besides all the other things which have never been done before this brilliant show, it was a completely new to finish a show by answering all questions and tying the loose ends BEFORE the last episode airs. The last episode is dedicated to what has always been the most important part of the show: the characters. After there's nothing more to be concerned about, we can follow the last steps in the life of our beloved heroes and see them find redemption.

at the end of Lost, I thought that Ben was waiting to cross over with Alex, and Alex with her mother... Alex was never really a part of this group so she would not move on with them, she and Ben would have their own thing. We know a lot of people in our lifetimes and some of them are very close to us, but in the end there would be some who are more important to you than The Others (sorry, I couldn't resist)

I didn't like the ending at the time, didn't absolutely hate it but didn't love it either. But over the years, with the benefit of hindsight and after seeing how badly writers really can make a balls-up of and ending (lookin' at you Game of Thrones) the Lost Ending ws actually very good.
Emerson killed it in that role.

I loved the finale and I kinda hope we’re not in the minority, especially now that time has passed and more people are watching the box set without the insane build up and high expectations (from the sound of things it sort of had a Wandavision effect)
Edit: The other good thing about Lost’s ending is, despite split opinions of it, it had a goal in mind, stayed true to the themes of the show, resolved the plot lines and overall wasn’t lazy. Even if you didn’t like the decisions made, it wasn’t like Game of Thrones where they had this rushed ending where the plot points sort of made sense but the execution didn’t.

I always took Ben's being alone outside the chapel doors to mean that he had become the next and last guardian of the island.
Hugo's in there, so who took his job?
