Aslam o alikum bro which procedure is more healthy can u plz tell other wise u explain in easy ways and great work u had done ur fan from Pakistan
w salaam, both procedures are good. If u you have good amount of money and can spend for the filtration process then RAS is easy and better. But you dont want to spend money and can spare some time to check the water parameters manually then you can go for biofloc.
RAS better then Biofloc its true its a one time investment at the end running cost will be same as biofloc. fish size variation in biofloc is main issue at the time of harvest you find some fishes 200g and some 800g. other hand in biofloc you have no idea what's going on in tank until its to late very famous CZcamsr work on biofloc he said in his video he stock seeds after some days water parameters was not in range so he drained all water and found sludge at bottom with worms in it because new fish seeds was not taking feed and feed turns into sludge i am talking about one of the most famous farmer in india working on biofloc.
if they are still struggling with biofloc what will we do afcause we will lose money. Do Ras with aquaponic believe me forget about what is ammonia nitrate and nitrite its true you need 20 to 25 lakh but you will be tension free.

1. Difference in the stocking density; can the same stocking density as RAS be maintained in Biofloc if the water parameters are controlled?
2. What would be the cost of setting up the solar backup?
3. Are these any instances that you know of, where BF-Aquaponics is being practiced?
4. Can Aquaponics be practiced in case of Shrimp culture, BF as well as RAS?

1. Yes same density can be maintained. You can put some more fishes in RAS considering the fact that there is floc load also in biofloc.
2. You can take quotation from any good company for solar panels, price depends on your requirements and capacity. Nowadays it is also available on EMI.
3. Yes i have customers who do the same, aquaponics with biofloc. I will try to make a video soon on this if i get some time after lockdown.
4. I am not sure about Shrimp culture with aquaponics, but i think it should be possible. All you need to have is thorough knowledge of what you are trying to do.

If you can invest in the filtration system and do not have financial problem than RAS is better and secure.

@@v.kirankumar7042 Different people have different opinions. Studies and research show that RAS gives more production than biofloc. The more better the water quality the faster you get fish growth. But if you maintain water quality in biofloc successfully then you can get very good production in biofloc also. Have a nice time.

I think this is not good idea because PH value may suddenly change witch is not good for fish, we may try to drain small quantities but at the end of the day lot of water consumption . Our motive is to use less water. Hope I’m not wrong.
