Gevi 10 Cup Coffee Maker with Built in Grinder Review . My Keurig Coffee Maker after many years of services is finally about to die , so I decided to upgrade . GECMA025A-U is the model number of my new Gevi Coffeemaker . You can select the ground size , cups 2 to 10 , coffee strength , and it even has a timer for you to set to have fresh coffee in the morning .
Kauai Coffee is my favorite brand of coffee from Kalaheo, Kauai , Hawaii and I really like the dark coffees . I also love German Coffee and Espresso . Davidoff Cafe Grand Cuvee Espresso 57 from Hamburg , Germany is a great espresso . I'm first using Koloa Estate Dark Roast Roasted Beans in the Gevi . My favorite in the Keurig was Na Pali Coast Dark Roast and I have also tried the Vanilla Macadamia Nut as well . Death Wish Coffee taste really good too , but I don't think it has as much caffeine as they claim ( didn't hype me up ) and it is twice the price of most K-cups out there .
I hope this video gives you a good explanation of the features of this coffee maker . Please Like , Share , and Subscribe to my Channel . Thank you and be sure to checkout my many videos to include Travel , Hiking , Music , and Military . A little something for everyone .

Very informative . Yes the 2 cup setting is for the amount of beans to be grinded , not the amount of coffee to be dispensed . It should be for both though , it would only make sense .
I agree . I didn't know it the first time I used it .
DO YOU FIND THAT the coffee is NOT AS hot AS IT SHOULD BE? I only had it a few months and don’t use it often. I have to microwave it to get it hot enough. I did descale it.
Wow . No mine comes out nice and hot . I've had for a while now too . I just got some new Hawaiian Whole Beans and they are so rich and strong I have to use less beans than I usually do .
I heat my cup up with water in the microwave before pouring a cup from the carafe. 2m 30s
Wow I've had mine for 2 years now and it still works like a Champ. I just got through making some of my favorite Hawaiian Coffee. My son got a small Keurig like the travel one and it's not working right , I told him to take it back. It's not putting enough water through and you have to add like 2 ounces of water to your coffee cup even on the 10 ounce setting and then microwave it after you stir it up. My old Keurig I had worked great , but it was the big original one till it finally died and I got this one.
The temp is lower than I would like, but my son, who’s a coffee geek, says this is the proper temp for the best coffee. This has resulted in me making smaller cups, and refilling the cup more frequently.
I contacted Gevi to ask if there was a way to change the brew temp, and of course, never heard back from them.
I am having trouble with the open button on my coffee gevi 10 cup coffee maker. Any one else experiencing this problem ? Any suggestions? I have had it ayear.
Sorry to hear that . I haven't had any problems with mine . If it's sticking , maybe some WD-40 or could be the spring broke .
Ok so my husband brought this thing home and I should have looked up the vid before using. I didnt realize that the filter was already in it so I didnt have to use a paper filter. Which made my coffee not as strong as I like I think. lol. I will have to try the fresh ground coffee to see how that taste compared to getting the Folgers already ground. I like you dont like that you have to put the water in the back of the coffee maker but it will have to do. Just have to move around that. Thanks for the info
I like it very much . I buy Koloa Estate Hawaiian Coffee Whole Bean as one of my favorite . They also sell Ground Coffee too .
Will it grind beans for use with a different machine such as my espresso machine or does it grind then automatically dump into the filter area.
It dumps automatically into filter and water begins , so you can't take out the grounds for another machine .
2 things.
Do you find it uses a lot of coffee beans for just 2 cups of coffee.?beans are not cheap.
2.do u find that putting it on strong with the silver adjustment knob in the middle makes a good cup?
It grounds coffee beans for 2 cups pretty much the same amount as I use ground coffee . So , I don't feel it waste or overuses coffee beans . As far as the Silver Knob I use 5 from the bottom . It goes up to 8 . I think 5 makes a good tasting coffee .
The more course the grind the more beans you will use. Each powder number basically increases the time of the grinder running. If its courser the beans flow through the burr grinder faster. They say each cup is 7g of coffee. 4 cups is 28g. That is roughly 1/2 c of whole beans.
I have a tall skinny shot glass that I use to measure my beans for 1 good oversized coffee cup. I use one 16.9 oz bottle of water.
Hi there! So can I put water in it the night before and set the (grinder) and timer for it to start brewing in the morning maybe while I am in the shower??
Entering the timer mode and setting the time you wanted to automatic start, the programmable timer will preset the machine start time and start brewing coffee at the specified time. There is a prompt bell after brewing. It helps to save time making coffee in the morning. After brewing, there is a warming plate design that the coffee can be warmed in the carafe lasts for 120 minutes
Hi I was wondering if you have any updates in the brewer. I've read a lot of reviews saying it stops working after a short time. Any feedback would be great. Thinking of buying this for me and my wife since she wakes up super early for work. The automatic brewing would make her morning easier.
So far it has worked perfectly . I suggest using the middle setting for the coffee grounds so you don't get any coffee grounds in the pot . It happened to me once with only a few in the pot when I had at a finer setting . I have also used ground coffee which you can do when you turn off the grinder setting . I still have Keurig pods that I have been emptying into the filter every so often since my Keurig died . No coffee grinds appeared in the coffee pot . I have not used the automatic brewing , since I like to only make my coffee when I know I got myself out of bed and it's not setting in the pot .
Was this a Gevi or Keurig review.
Of course it was a Gevi review , but since I was switching from a Keurig and still had some coffee k-cups I could recommend I did so. The Keurig served me well , but I am so much happier with the Gevi. I've had the Gevi for over 2 years now and love that I can use the grinder for fresh coffee beans or I can use pre-grounded coffee loaded directly in the filter for brands that I can't get the coffee beans for.
Very informative review . Weird that you can't just fill up the water and make how many cups you want and it leave the rest for later . I like that you can use either fresh beans or ground coffee , that way you have lots of options . Nice that you don't need to buy coffee filters too .
I have really enjoyed this coffee maker . I thought I was so happy with my Keurig , but this is so much better and easy to maintain .
Lately the grinder is not putting enough coffee in the drip basket. It looks like water vapor is suddenly causing grounds to clump, blocking the correct amount of ground coffee to make the quantity selected. I've
I haven't had that problem , thank goodness . That sounds strange that is happening . Have you tried cleaning it ? Maybe a tube has come loose or something causing the vapor .
Judging from the comments, this sounds like a terrible product, honestly.
I've had mine for 2 years now and no problems at all. I love the grinder feature on top for fresh ground Hawaiian coffee. I use the filter part also for coffees that I can't get whole bean and only pre-ground. The filter also you just rinse and reuse so no need to buy the paper ones. Best coffee maker I've ever had and I used my Keurig a lot before it died.
The 24 hr clock is a bit of a pain. Not sure why they would do that. Needs a 12 hr mode. I can see some people not familiar with that having problems.
Being prior Military it's not a problem with me , but I can see others having issues with that . Thanks for watching .
Are you showing us how to operate the Gevi or the Keurig?
The Gevi of course. I was just telling you how much I liked the Gevi better than my Keurig I had. I made this video a few years ago and the Gevi is still going strong. Best coffee maker I've ever had. Fresh ground coffee is the best from it and my favorite is Hawaiian Coffee.

انا اشتريت هذا المكينه من امزون الامريكي وللأسف لا تعمل 👎
I advise not to buy any product that does not have an agent in your country
I bought this machine from Amazon USA and unfortunately it does not work
Sorry to hear that . I got mine through Walmart online and it was refurbished it said , so nice discount . I think it was just a return though since I did have to clean it a little . It has worked flawlessly since I got it . I have even used the no grind feature since sometimes you have or get already ground coffee instead of just the beans .
So you did this review a year ago? Do you still love this coffee maker?
Absolutely ! After using it and getting the setting the way I like it , it's great . I still make single cups , but without a keurig and the coffee is sooo much better . I prefer to use whole beans and the grinder , but some coffees I buy are already ground so I can still just load in the filter . I would highly recommend this coffee maker and I wish they paid me a royalty for sales or recommendations , but they don't . Best coffee maker I have ever owned and I've had my share .
@@TipsFromABellman OK thank you very much for getting back. I actually have a grind and brew also but it’s by Cuisinart I like it a lot but it’s on its last legs so I wanted to try something different PS are you from the East Coast? I saw you had Costco or Costco’s brand in your hand
So did you end up buying one ? I see you said yours was on its last leg. It has been 2 years for me now with mine and still going strong. I just finished making some of my Hawaiian coffee that I love. I live in Las Vegas and we have Costco and Sam's Club here. I am originally from South Carolina though , but been here since 1991.
@@TipsFromABellman I bought the Cuisinart grind bean coffee maker, and I like it a lot but it’s a little loud
@@TipsFromABellman oh, so you’ve been around I’m actually in Connecticut
I just got this brand new at an Amazon liquidator. $25.
Great deal ! I got it about a year ago from Walmart discounted to like $100 . They were going new for like $225 . I really love mine .
I got one brand new $10 at Goodwill! Score!
Holy Crap ! $10 was it working good. I've had mine for 2 years now and it works like a Champ. I just got through making some of my Hawaiian Coffee. Best coffee maker I've ever had.
I found that it is most definitely Not 10 cups! I bake, and each cup per pot is maybe a half cup, not a full cup. Or ia it just my Machine? Lol
I use a bottle of water 16.9 fl oz to make an oversized cup of coffee . I measured it after brewing and evaporation it comes out to 1 and 1/2 cups or approximately 12 to 13 ounces of coffee , maybe more since I have a slight amount left in the bottom of the coffee pot because it occasionally has a little grounds in the bottom .
A “coffee cup” is different from a standard “cup.” A standard up is 8 oz. A cup of coffee is generally considered to be 6 oz.
Worst coffee maker ever.
Not nearly enough beans get through the grinder to make ten cups.
WASTE of F'in MONEY.
I've had this coffee maker for 3 years now and it's going strong. Never had an issue. Since I don't have this in an office or have a lot of other coffee drinkers in the house , I've never made 10 cups of coffee at once. I use the coffee grinder for coffee beans and directly to the filter for brands that are already ground. They all come out great and it's been the best coffee maker I've ever owned.
