I’m currently learning this.
I had this other friend, we started being friends 2013 and it was a great friendship, really loved her. the problem started when I noticed that I'm the one who always visits her, she never came to my house and whenever I asked her she would say she's scared, mind you the area where she stays at there it was known as the place where most kids get missing. I stopped talking to her for a whole year in 2019/2020 and she finally texted me and apologized and said she will do better and I said no problem but now after her apologizing I never went to her house cause she said she will be the one who will come to my house and it never happened so I decided to cut ties with her.
I fully hear this. I also noticed that I haven't been at my friend's place since she moved and I communicated this, she didn't have to. I am definitely doing better as a friend. Your friend was weird nee
I’ve been friends with someone since the 3rd or 4th grade. We became very close when I was in the 8th grade & people thought we were siblings. So after matric she made new friends & I felt left out; they started going to the gym together & so forth. Their friendship was a trio so this other day they started gossiping about her on WhatsApp and they posted on their statuses ,they were making fun of her and she sent me screenshots of what they posted on their WhatsApp statuses and she was hurt so as her friend that was feeling left out I was like you “know what forget about them” and then our friendship continued and a year later we started working and she made new friends at work and let me tell you one thing every time the friendships she gets into end up going south she will remember that she has me and I’m honestly tired of being a back up friend and I decided to start making new friends even though my friendships didn’t last I was like I’m not gonna be someone’s last option we do speak sometimes on WhatsApp but I’m like done with her ATP
yoh sana,i have a horrible experience of a trio friendship. i became friends with these two girls and we were a trio,i loved them both so much but i was closer to one of the girls because our energies matched alot & i realized this after i had picked up red flags about the other girl,like the girl was just off - she wouldn't reciprocate the same energy. fast forward,i & girl i was close to,cut ties with her because i for one,knew i didn't like being friends with her anymore. my heart was so sore but im okay now.🥺💕
choose to be friends with people whom you can see genuinely like you and also heavy on the "inconsiderate friends" part,don't be friends with people are not considerate. friendships require compassion & effort from both sides.🥺🌸

Secondly, talking about friendship breakup, I had a friend who was very supportive and caring but the problem was she was very verbally and emotionally abusive. However I never confronted her about that and the resentment was building over time and so, one day she embarrassed me in public and so, that was the first time I told her how she has been hurting my feelings and she apologised but I didn't want anything that has to do with her anymore.
So I am taking an accountability of not communicating my needs abd still learning how to communicates my needs and will then leave if they are not met
I was the lows elf esteem friend and I am still working on it and with relationships, too. And I can see progress.

I used to hold everyone down we were in matric and i would suggest ways for us to study and get great marks but when it was outside of school i would always be left out and they would go out and enjoy themselves elsewhere without me .i let it slide until the gossiping started then it became toxic now everyone is seperated and they blocked each other

You see you mentioned a friend who has a low self esteem and I want to add on. Also friends who are always sad and never happy, njalo umuntu uyagowisha i mean yes we all have bad/horrible moments in life mara njalo whenever I ask how you doing you always say "ah friend I'm going through it" and whenever I suggest ways to try to help you, you always negative. That takes a toll on you as the comforter, because you there trying to comfort someone who has no hope. Again I'm not neglecting things like depression.
No facts! It's emotionally draining and exhausting to have such friends bc they are so much into what they are always going through and end up not knowing how you are doing.

I have a friend i meet in high school 2018 we were very compatible ❤i loves her more than anything, we were the class of covid couldn't get matric dance which is one of the things we were both looking towards to we then shifted our focus into 21st birthday
Last year i turned 21 and my parent's did a 21st birthday brunch for me,for her they didn't do anything because she already had a child.
Throughout the whole last yr we were planning and excited well i thought, comes December friend decided to do a birthday party for her daughter 2 days before my 21st 😢,in my mind i had that she prepared for my thing a while ago since she knew about it at the beginning of the year . Kanti no she didn't prepare non not even a single earing😂she has to borrow the outfit of which today i wish she didn't bother coming since she was not prepared. The day comes everything is going well idk whats went wrong her whole need and energy just changed all of the sudden ,mind you we leave 30mins away from each other my mother asked her to sleepover at my place from her mother and she agreed,.
3hours into the party her mood changes she everything nje changed bare in mind she was my only friend there the rest it was my family she wanted to leave after we went home for braai and drinks you know, friend just stay in the room alone my family is now worried Andile is your friend oky that time im also shocked as them when i speak to her she told me her mother wants her home now

Kithi we have money , ohk sharp didn't take that into much thought. Iyooh one day girl started smoking weed with her college friends .. ohk that was her choice.. I accepted that as a friend, Sharp one day she went home high ,with eyes red and all that.. Ohk so her parents found out that she was smoking an asked her who taught her how to smoke .. Haiboo! Girl decided to say that it was me .🤔 Ohk sharp her parents got the guts to call me to their house just to swear at me and speak their mind no questions asked.. Iyooh sharp I was angry an all that trying to defend myself and all .. Would you believe me if I say girl didn't even try saying the truth during all that ..Sharp the next day Girl tried talking to me texting me , updating me with her life .. Bruhhh like we still friends and all ..Mina I was long over that friendship and her parents..she didn't even apologize.. 😮I don't even talk to non of them till today .. Mind you this happened late November 2022
