I travel to Charleston South Carolina with my Jon Boat to target these fish using oysters. Definitely will do. I used pliers to pull them off, next time I will just knock them of into a net like you suggest. When I hummed the water, they went crazy.

How well did your jon boat hold up in saltwater?

next time bring u a scraper and scrape some of the oysters of the pilings its like chumming for sheepshead
I had a scraper but didn't use it, I just pulled oysters off the pilings once I found a good spot. Next time I will try the scraping method so I don't have to worry about chumming.

I wish I could, I was just searching around the Mount Pleasant area and ran across this spot. I'm not local and this was my first trip, I just headed across the bay, I fished the Navy Yard Reach area, I would just google Navy Yard Reach in Charleston sc and fish by the boats. I would have to visit again to be more specific.

You may have overlooked the Pelican mods and upgrades videos I posted. I have one regarding it. However I wanted to do a river test video but it was too windy and rainy. I have a trip planned for next weekend, if all goes to plan that one will illustrate how it performs overall. Stay tuned for more.
