- Those who are proficient in the philosophy of science do see the connection of the logic of scientific method with the wisdom of Indian Shad-darshanas. On the other hand, Puranas are seen as books filled with stories, may be even some moral advice but hardly anything on the philosophy of modern science. And while Upanishad may be credited with deeper philosophy, not many would relate them to methods of scientific discoveries. Are there specific teachings from Puranas and Upanishads that not only refer to elements of scientific acumen but also provide unique insights for the discipline of scientific research? This talk illustrates few examples of deep scientific insights from Puranas & Upanishads.
About The Speaker:
Nilesh Nilkanth Oak, is the author of "When did the Mahabharata War Happen?", "The Mystery of Arundhati", where he freshly evaluated astronomy observations of Mahabharata text. His work led to validation of 5561 BCE as the year of Mahabharata War while falsifying more than 120 alternate claims. The book was nominated for the Lakatos award; the award is given annually by London School of Economics for a contribution to the philosophy of science. It is a great treat watching your videos and please keep on doing this because the world needs to know the birthplace of all the science and civilization. I liked the story of Nagaraja Vasuki, the holder of Nagamoni. I believe that it is telling us about how the matter, space, and time were created. Also with a bit of indulgent, I have derived an equation where the story and my derived equation have some common feature. Here are some of my observations that I found from the equation.
a) As soon as the PE gets par with KE than the collapse will begin
b) In the beginning, for this universe, the bang was started with a constant rate of change from PE to KE
c) Space is passing through us and all other objects while creating time. The rate of a second varies when space passes while twisting the space ( which is us and all other matters). When space passes through a proton, it takes a number times *10 to the power of -19 of a second.
d) Multiverses and reincarnation are quite possible.
e) Finally, All the things and life that we share within nature where they are the audience and we the players who are taking a part of this Dramma (Samsara). Thanks, Sir.

What is the point of going back 300 years when there is boundless confusions? What do u want by dragging Indians to 300 years back while other counties are going ahead of 900 years. Such quotes of the outsiders were soley made to degrade the east to back to 300 years nothing else which was their hidden agenda which must not be propagated by Indians.
What was there in 300 years back like any medical development what we enjoy today , any space science devloped what now we have done by ISRO, what was there in education system what we have now? Ancient india was rich, egalitarian and knowledgeable only during the Buddhist civilization which had established Universities to educate the then half of the world. I dont find any significant evidence of Vedic civilization which had attracted world during its time if at all was in existence. Excluding the glorious Buddhist civilization India don't find any existence in the world in ancient civilizations.

54:45 best point. For people these days a well paying 9-5 is the ultimate goal and booze and party is the only escape. I also believe, if you haven’t spent your life over a genuine cause, solving a major problem or helping people out (in masses), you haven’t done much punya. Perhaps you lived a happy, content life, but at least I wouldn’t find it the perfect life ever lived. Success for me is if people miss me after I am gone... not if they talk about me and my wealth for only the time I am alive.

I am a person who knows not too much of science maths or technology. Until recently ( say three four years) I was not paying much attention to what has been enumerated in our ancient philosophy. The things I saw, heard or listened to from any source in respect of our sanatan dharma, it was not convincing or inspiring that could lead me to have a keen look into it all. However after my retirement I have a whale of a time on hand, I have started taking some deep interest in reading and listening to various CZcams video on these subjects. I have come to the conclusion that this esoteric knowledge embedded in our philosophy is not for less educated people like me. It takes a scientist, philosopher, mathematician or literary person to fully understand all this.

Dear sir the content is really great and we need to take it more to the public ... what i see is that you videos are pretty long .. people in general try to avoid such a lengthy videos ... and my request is you should break into small episodes of 5-10 min each ... and put appropriate titles to catch attention ... we have to penetrate our ancient knowledge to the new generation .. social media is a great platform .... a small episode on ancient geography, physics, medicine, mathematics, vedas or any topic ... this will penetrate faster and will not miss younger generation attention .... and if the video is small it can be circulated across other social media platforms ... keep the work on ...

I have tried searching this video on Sangam- Hindi Channel, no luck.
Chances are high that the content will have much higher effect if recorded in Hindi with English subtitles.
I am disappointed this time more as I see the content is very informative and inspiring in the video.
If inspiring young audiences (from lay men to well educated) is our goal, I am sorry to say it may not be as wide as it can be.

Nagwanshi : They used pictograph for certain words in Indus script...... Really interesting. I found names of God's whom we worships in Hinduism. I found demon names also.

The commentator doesn't once mention the name of Vishnu: He is cause of the evolution of the world and is the essence and object of meditative wisdom and active virtue (karma). The Puranc tradition was initiated by the philosopher Krishna, who contemplated the divine design and purpose and how karma promoted evolution. This is the essence of Sanatan religion of the Yadava tribe, to which I belong.

What the Pandits were doing just after the independence to invoke all sciences what you claim in a all veda , Purana , Ramayan and upanisad to use for the Indians to develop their standard of livings by the scientific developments? Why still we need to import all scientific knowledge work from outside when we have alredy in the Upanishads? Why the Nobel laureate professor Venkata Ramana rediculed the Indian Science Congress where people like you were claiming Plastic surgery of Genesh and Pushpak Vimana in Ramayan ( which in fact was completely destoryed by the World renowned scientists of IISC , Bangalore in 50s.) ?
Don't make uninformed claims. Mr. Nilesh Oak is has more scientific rigor than most of the mainstream professionals in the field or should I say "Industry". Read some papers, do some research instead of keyboard bashing. Respect people who do good work or just stay away.

नरेंद्र, आपटेजी माझा प्रश्न अगदी साधा आहे.मान्य.जगात , एके काळी आम्ही श्रेष्ठ होतो.ते नेमके"आम्ही"कोण होते ,की जांचे कडून आम्हाला ज्ञान प्राप्त झाले?२)ते तंत्रज्ञान ,ज्ञान कुठे लुप्त झाले.?३)आम्मचे ज्ञान परकियांनी चोरले हा आमचा आवडता सिध्दांत.म्हणजे आम्ही प्रगत होतो पण आमचे धन ज्ञान संभा लु शकलो नाही असे म्हणायचे.४)आज १००वर्षा चे मागचे व पुढील १००वर्षा चे कॅलेंडर माहीत आहे.त्या अनुषगाने ,दिवस,वेळ ,वार वर्ष ,हे गृहीत धरून कथानक लिहिले तर ते कोर्टात ग्राह्य धरले जाईल का?जागा,नेमकी घटना ,परिस्थिती जण्य पुरावा या बाबींची चिकित्सा व्हायला नको का?केवळ रामायणात व महाभारतात ,नक्षत्रे वरणन आहेत,म्हणून ते घडले हे पटत नाही.आणि तसे असेल तर - पांडव वनवासात जाऊन परत येऊन कुरुक्षेत्र युद्ध होई पर्यंतचा काळ नक्षत्रांचे आधारावर ठरवता येईल का!इतिहास संशोधन करताना उत्खनन करून मिळालेली वस्तू हा स्वीकार ,जगन्मान्य झाला आहे.पण तसे पुरावे नाहीत असे मी स्वतः चर्चा केल्यावर कळले.हे महाभारताच्या बाबती त.त्याचा काळ अलीकडे असून सुध्दा ही परिस्थिती.रामायण तर त्याचे अगोदर घडले.त्याचे पुरावे उपलब्ध नाहीत,असे अभ्यासक म्हणतात.कृपया करून श्रध्दा आणि अभ्यास याची गल्लत करू नका.केवळ श्रध्दा म्हणून रामायण , महाभारत मान्य करा असे म्हणणे असेल ,तर मान्य.मग कोणीच काहीच चिकित्सा करण्याची आवश्यकता नाही.

Puranas do have the foundational concepts of relativity and yes, QM too. I am researching in QM for 30+ years. I can tell you first hand that many deep researchers of QM agree with this fact.
Well. This is like Christians may claim that the Bible is scientific since it says somewhere :Truth Shall Make You Free", which was the motto of Caltech chosen by the first President of Caltech, being a professor of divinity before he got into physics, who was deeply religious Christian. But The Bible is full of myths and lot of nonsense as well. Itihas and Purana are a good mixture of Good, Bad and Ugly, just like the Bible, and most of the time shows lack of Logic, Science and Mathematical rigor. Vedas, Upanishads and Shastras have less of myths compared to Itihas and Purana which got into entertainment business similar to Bollywood.
