In Buddhism there are 26 levels of heavens, 16 levels of hells. Your lifespan may range from thousands to millions of years but ultimately you die and then rebirth takes place.
Your goal is to transcend all the heavens in Buddhism and other eastern religions in order to attain enlightenment.

Our ancestors had better knowledge of life after death. Garuda Puran describes the steps that a soul crosses after leaving his body and steps it crosses when it enters a mother’s womb. There is a rumour that we should not to keep Garuda Purana at home but this is completely false because we should not get scared with the descriptions mentioned in such texts. When we go through all such texts we get a complete picture of what happens when we do sins or what happens when we do good deeds. To know about the knowledge of our ancestors we must go through our knowledge sources, i.e. , four Vedas, six Vedangas, 10 main Upanishads, 18 main Puranas, many Brahmasutras, etc.

If you cant remember the horrors and pain you felt in hell for some sin then whats the point of going to hell?
Its like if you cant remember the horror and pain for a sin then you will again do that sin in your next life because you wont be able to remember the horrors you faced in hell for that sin
    Same goes for heaven

Again I will say, to understand the whole thing you need to first go through the scriptures. We should not live on speculations. We human beings are not that much intelligent as we think of ourselves. By putting mundane logic we cannot understand this huge creation and its purpose.
Yet Im trying to clarify... As per vaishnav philosophy the hellish events are erased from our mind because if we could remember those, our minds would always got disturbed by thinking about those incidents and our conditions here on earth would also became hellish. That's why the descriptions of hells have been put in scriptures only so that people can read and try to reform themselves.

that is a nice escape clause to use when there is no verifiable evidence that any of those hellish realms or "heavenish" realms even exist.
This is as much B.S. as those Christian and Muslim escape-clause claims that the devil actually exists, and that the greatest trick that the devil has played on human beings is to make human beings feel that he (i.e. the devil) does not exist.

Then mind calms down.Beacuse what ever we see hear and all, mind will trigger thinking about that.that's why we close our eyes during meditation. spiritual people specially beginners find time to practice on early hours in the morning. There is absolute peace . Whatever practice is done during brahma muhurta holds you whole day. If there are people who doesnot even let them do that then total surrender to ultimate with internal nama Japa and pure desire to help you by supreme, will take person out of that environment and grant you people and environment which will help to attain that final goal of every yogi.(in this case people may be transformed around you or you will be shown a better place )

Puranas are to be read to get story , to get interested, for reality :
Read vedas, upnishads, Bhagwat Geeta, Kashmir Shaivism , Ashtwakr Geeta, Buddhism sutras.

The only trouble with ISKCON is that it's philosophies are Dwaitiya in nature and the trouble with Dwaita is that it is exclusionary unlike Adwaita which is comfortable with accommodating Dwaita thought. This is not a big bother but it goes a little against the all encompassing Sanatani thought.

Only human species have their spine which is straight. There is kundalini or quantum energy coiled in the form of a serpent at the bottom of the spine in every living being in the subtle plane because human spine is straight he has the capacity to take the energy upwards to the head which connects you with the divine. Only humans have the wisdom to either enjoy life life animals eat procreate and leave the planet or eat procreate do tapasya sadhana control your senses and take the coiled serpentine energy upwards and reach the divine

You are correct that he is not completely right
Please understand that Hindus have highly varying book... There is no one book... As this religion was more spoken then written thus everyone express and everyone believes it in a different manner... Our schools /vedic schools were destroyed by islamic invaders which actually had the correct understanings but... We can agree to him or disagree to him on this and still be a hindu... Also heven means mukti (salvation) hell means lower grade of life... It is not an imprisonment like he said.. it is like a devolution (reverse evolution) so the next time the person may grow up as an animal or in the form of a low IQ negative person...
This will be like hell for him... Anyways.. this can also be wrong ;)
