During this Evening AM Band Scan the use of the Band Width option makes a huge difference.
Overall, the PL-330 is a Gem. I would like to see a update on the available AM Bandwidths, and moving the selection to the button only. Also the Step Button needs to be moved, or raised to make it easier to press. These are important, but not enough to outweigh all the good this radio has to offer.

I had ordered a Tecsun PL 330 and received it today. My Tecsun came with a USB to type C charging cable.
My PL-330 was a better DXer at night plugged directly into my AN-200 loop than my EP-PRO due to some sort of interference there that the loop helped bypass. I`m living in a camper now with a steel roof over it and a transformer and power lines running by one end so I strung out 500 feet of insulated wire. I ran the wire 135 feet straight away from the transformer and power line on the other end of the camper, then made a left with the rest into the woods.
It averages about 7 feet above the ground. I ran a ground wire in from the frame of my metal roof that`s anchored to the ground and came in the window behind my couch and ran the antenna in and added a plug. We have a lot of storms so I have to keep the antenna wire outside except when in use.
I use the wire for shortwave plugged into the antenna ports and AM by connecting it to the loop because the signals going through the loop are cleaner. It was the only way to get a signal in here and it works well. But even though I`m in a very rural area my radios struggle to get quiet DX anywhere in this area due to interference except during power outages when it`s mindblowing even during the day on AM.
I didn't realize that this little hot-rod of a radio was so cheap. I know where my radiobux is going next!

Well done, like your video! I own the 330 myself and love the little guy! Is always with me when I am out and about! At home I use the H-501x and the 680, but the little 330 ist a surprising performer!

Hej Todderber the Tecsun PL-330 is a great radio i love mine but i also have the Tecsun PL-320 and I agree with you the Tecsun PL-320 has a kickstand so it's a shame the Tecsun PL-330 doesn't. But otherwise, the PL-330 is a wonderful world radio it's a little black jewel I have very good reception with the Tecsun PL-330 here where I live take care Todderbert and have a nice sunday.

I just ordered one. What sold me was your review as well as Radio Jay Allen's review. The external AM antenna input was a major plus. I'll be comparing this with the CCrane Skywave. (Regular version). Great video!

I would love to see a review of the popular licenced clone of the Malahit dsp 2 portable SDR, the nice one with the CNC:ed silver case. Seems to recieve everything including data modes.

Testing my different AM radios inside my camper with no help from outdoor antennas the one that does the best by leaps and bounds to bypass the interference is my Sony ICF-19. It can get signals that no other radio can. It was the best I had for sensitivity when hurricanes Laura & Delta hit our region and we had no power or local radio, NOAA or cell phone signals or even working home phones, so I was the only person in the area who could get information. It really DXed great during the day with nothing to cause interference. An AM station about 250 miles away is what I was listening to when power was restored and I noticed the station went silent and I could barely hear slight static. So just grid power greatly deadens long range daytime signals.

@@joeweberofficial Outside the others are better DXers but the Sony has astounding battery life and resistance against interference. I didn`t have the others when the two hurricanes happened but the Sony was a lifesaver. It`s one of the best and a favorite. It ran 20 days non-stop after the storms on one set of rechargeable EBL batteries.

I bought a Tecsun PL880 last year. I was really disappointed in the Eton Elite I had picked up so I went searching. The Tecsun is much better.
Are you talking about the Eton elite field or the executive?

If SW is your thing, the PL880 rules. I love how quick you can get a SSB transmission tuned in on one. The audio was a bit too strong for my tastes though. Sold it off, and I own two Executives, which I use daily. I have my trusty PL-660 though :)

A suggestion, you should do a nighttime medium wave shootout with radios that have a sync detector. Test each radio using the sync detector on tuned to weak stations and stations that are adjacent strong ones. See which radio does the best job of eliminating interference and recieves the best. Would be curious how each radio performs with and without the sync detectors on radios.
I have a two radios with a sync detector a Sony ICF-SW7600GR and a Grundig G3. The sync detector on the Grundig G3 doesn't lock correctly. The sync detector will default sometimes to the SSB mode that was last selected rather than lock in the AM mode with the sync detector engaging. I wonder if that is a flaw of that particular model radio or if it a flaw with my unit specifically? Don't really know.
My SP33S It does not work unless the charger cable is connected. What is the problem, given that the battery is fully charged?
Not sure, I would contact Sofirn. Sounds like a UI programming glitch.
