    Let me ask you a quick question! We have a 1997 Nissan Hardbody D21 Pickup. The fuel lid door cover will NOT stay closed! The "Fuel Lid Door Lock" is worn-out. I HAVE purchased a brand new one! Do you know how to replace the Fuel Lid Door Lock please? I've worked on cars for MANY years...but THIS is a new one! Thank you so much!

      on my fiberglass bed sides kn the purple truck i use a small storing magnet to help keep my door shut! but on a regular truck i'll have to take a look too see how to pull one off as i don't quite remember

    A nissan/datsun man after my own heart. You could try taking off the window roller handles you installed and see of there is a screw to the back to tighten it up. I honestly prefer the stock handles. By the way, where the plastics have turned white, that's the sun bleaching it out. When i was little I would take scotch brite and gently rub the plastic with a lubricant until the white layer came off and it started to look like original color. Use to do that in my dad's car (B11 and B12 Sunny). Take a small piece of trim and try it.
    I always preferred to do my cars like stock. Small changes but mostly like stock. Where are the headrests for the seats?

      Hey how’s it going man! So I’m really into custom everything! Do I removed the headrest to give it a better bench seat look maybe makes it feel a little more sporty! I think the headrests look great on stick style rides or especially the buckets seats! But i may give that a go thanks for sharing the tips and tricks for that! I only switched to the billet style window cranks to give it a more 90s feel to the trucks! I’m building the black truck to be a 90s style Lowrider and the purple truck is an early style 90s minitruck build!

    I had those billet window cranks on my S10, but they kept falling off lol, went back to OEM

      I have them as well but after use and tightening a few times they stopped loosening up only issue is the billet window crank should have been better machined cause they will cut you if your not careful rolling up or down the window quickly lol but looks great haven’t had no more issues with them after a couple weeks they seated

    • @JapaneseMinitruck
      @JapaneseMinitruck  Před 3 měsíci

      @kvital5353 I use a little bit of thread locker on all of the nuts and bolts that come with the kit, just a light enough amount so they're easy to break off if I need to take them off but enough, so they stay on without falling off, and I do agree you definitely have to be careful. It takes a little little getting used to so you don't chop your hand up lol

      you could probably get it as just the bumper but if you have a square bumper and are upgrade into the round, you would need the brackets, also get brackets depending on whether it's a four-wheel-drive or a 2 Wheel Dr., you're gonna want at least the 96 or 97 chrome bumper because it's one piece, the previous are three piece and not as good

    I'm intrigued to hear the long term review on those billet window cranks. I keep see ppl say they keep dropping off. Which ones did you buy?

    • @JapaneseMinitruck
      @JapaneseMinitruck  Před rokem +1

      I bought some cheaper ones I think off eBay or Amazon I’ll link them in a minute but I haven’t had any issues so far, I’ll mention some time early summer how I’m feeling about them for sure but so far I like em man!

    Question how did you get your driveline set up? I got pinion shims but no clue how they work

    • @JapaneseMinitruck
      @JapaneseMinitruck  Před rokem

      On my purple truck I had a machine shop custom cut my lowering blocks for a proper pinion angel and my black truck I did myself with an angel finder! But that was a 4x4 so a completely different set up from the RWDs

    • @JapaneseMinitruck
      @JapaneseMinitruck  Před rokem +1

      I would run the 4! That’s what I have but I also have the hanger redrill as well, but 4 is a good place to start, the block come angled so make sure they are pointing the right way! I have a video on how to do it on my channel as well!

      @@JapaneseMinitruck thanks man, I plan on doing the redrill Monday and gonna order a 4 inch block from belltech, they say they offer a 2 degree one. But someone else said with a 4 inch and a redrill frame will be smacking the axel. That’s doesn’t seems right at I wrong

    • @JapaneseMinitruck
      @JapaneseMinitruck  Před rokem

      It will but I haven’t had any real issues, there will be like an inch or tow of space between the Fran and axel after both, make sure you have som small wheels and tires if you’re doing both!
