Rigging is so underrated. Having a technical knowledge is way more valuable than getting flashy results in 10 minutes like other "tutorials" do. Thank you for sharing this with us, absolutely amazing!

I wanted to animate a blob. if your set up is 4 steps, i managed to get to come up with step 1. and was ready to accept it's limits. but now i don't have to. this is exactly what i needed. thank you so much for sharing!

You mentioned how, but you never really mention why. I want extra control in my limbs to warp and stretch based on camera angle as movie rigs do, which is why i came here.
But why you keep duplicating the bendy bones and making multiple? What one do you weight paint to? Whats the use for the other ones in the exact same position? I honestly have a lot more questions than i came here with xP

This set up is a more advanced set up to just using regular bendy bones. This set up allows you to move and adjust volume across a mesh, while still having the ability to move two bones. Think of it as an arm or a leg set up. For skinning, you would skin the last set of two bones to the mesh. The first bone is used as a driver, and the rest as controls. You can download the project files for free if you want to take a deeper dive into the entire set up, hope that helps

You could definitely set one up! It would require another layer of influence on top of the existing one though

Thank you sooooooo much, ended up using Drivers to change between ik and bendy bones.
      Great squash and stretch effect

Also I think you only need the end, middle and start to control it if parented to a mesh
