I watched Arabic perfume video recently and got hooked. I can't believe how cheap these perfumes are but the quality is really a top notch. You don't get chemicals smell from those niche houses perfumer instead strong smooth scent. I'm so glad I can get hold of Arabic perfumes easily in my place. Those western oud now seems like perfume on trainees since I discovered middle eastern perfume houses.

You are 100% right because a lot of natural flowers, herbs, spices etc have both psychological and physiological effects. Just smelling essential oils can change someone's mood or soothe their entire nervous system and calm them down. It can be interesting to look up the spiritual properties of the notes in perfumes that make you feel good and compare what it says to how the scent makes you feel.
You should check Mancera Aoud Vanille. This is like the elixir of Gods to me. It’s a beast, a separate entity. Very high quality, beautiful and alluring scent and very, very long lasting. Max 18 hours I’ve worn it on my skin(never sprayed on clothes) three sprays are more than enough and it projected the whole duration of 18 hours before I took a shower and the projection and sillage didn’t fleet the whole time I’ve worn it. On my winter jackets, it lasts for weeks and weeks. It’s so cozy and comforting.
I have a collection of Oud oils and I use them to layer with fragrances. My favourite so far is oudh cambodi layered with rose attar, Mugler Angel and Bentley Absolute. The scent is intoxicating

I sampled MFK - Oud satin mood didn't like it, Initio - Oud for greatness on it's own didn't smell nice for me too, but i mixed it with Killian's - Back to black then was different story👌
I agree!! I am wearing Tom Ford Oud Wood Extreme right now and hands down my favorite. I also love Creed wood and spice. It's amazing. Tom Ford and Creed are the only luxury fragrances I wear though because I know what I'm getting. I do enjoy Baccarat Rouge 540 though. By the way, if your a Vetiver fan, Tom Ford Grey Vetiver is incredible. I have been told that it is the best Vetiver scent because it is hard to blend the right notes for that fragrance.

Acquired Onyx recently Monika, I agree with you, it’s a fabulous fragrance. Hopefully you manage to get hold of it soon. Really want to try more from ATHs, very impressed so far. Roja Dove and Fragrance Du Bois are two house’s I need to try, both look and sound very classy.

Thanks for review! I love Oud fragrances. I especially like Shaghaf Oud, sadly the weather won't allow me to wear it for a while :( You should give Shaghaf Oud Abyad a try. This one is more Leathery and Floral. Overall I believe that Swiss Arabian makes some very nice fragrances. My other favorites of many are Creed Royal Oud and Desert Oud By Habibi. Again thanks from Texas, USA.
MFK have some of my favorite Ouds. Satin Mood, the regular Oud Extrait and EDP... Silk Mood is very nice also, but leans a bit too feminine for me. They have a great deal on their samples on their website. Six 2 ML samples for 15 Euros. Hard to beat those prices on samples. Mancera also does Ouds really really well. Also, congrats on getting to 10K subscribers! That was really quick! I guess people recognize quality content! 😀
Love Oud 27 by le labo. Smells like a loaded dung covered cattle truck driving past. I know that shouldn't be a smell to like but it's fascinating for some reason, intriguing in a wierd way. The cow poo odour softens a bit after 4-6 hrs and the woodiness is a bit more prevalent. Lasts for 12-14hrs easy on the skin this fragrance, lasts on clothes for days. Projects a good cpl of metres for hours. A real beast in scent and performance. Not for the faint hearted but one of my faves. I grew up on a farm with cattle so amazingly this fragrance brings back so many memories. I love how a fragrance can do that. People, places, a time, an event, all remembered via a fragrance. Like Old Spice, both my grandfathers wore it, they would have been young blokes when it was released, wore it all their lives. Both gone for many years now but when I've had a shave and slap on a bit of Old Spice the memories of them are so strong. My grand mothers wore 4711, my mother wore Tabu, dad wore Aramis. All gone now but fondly remembered with just a whiff of their perfumes. I'm sure everyone has fragrances that do that.

I know you probably get a but load of people recommending places to shop or different fragrances to try. I recently discovered oud and wanted to really dive into this scent. I ran across Arabian Oud perfumes and I must say they made me break the bank. I know they have a store in England and recommend that you take a trip to their store and really explore. If you do tell me what you think please. My favorite for the summer is Sultani. After that I am obsessed with Al Fareed, Arabian Oud set, Rare Oud and Al Rubban. They also sell Oud chip used for incense. I can go on and on but if you can do a piece on their scents I find many true oud lovers would be pleased.

My favorite oud would be Parisian Oud by FDB, I smelled and tried it two days in a row when I was in London (thanks to your recommandation) and if I ever have the luxury to buy that fragrance I will 🤗 but for now I just have to keep dreaming and honoring my 2ml sample 🙏🏻😁 also i looove Oud Jaune intense. I find it to be a little more feminine too, but I liked it so much that I asked for a sample. Possible gift for my future wifey? Who knows 🤭
Great job, great subject Monika! Some Oud fragrances smell really nasty dirty to me. I love Onyx. Lancome Oud Bouquet is my daughter loves. I think maybe their are lower grade ouds , their are lower grades of all perfume oils. Some really expensive fragrances use lower grades & put it in a wonderful bottle!
Hi Monika, because ATH is a relatively small set up his site always lists every fragrance as out of stock, except Wed - 08.00 to 21.00 & Sat - 09.00 to 21.00 when you can place your order. I have Onyx it really is a good oud. I have promised Sophia a Roja fragrance but she can't give me an answer on which one she wants! I know that I will end up with a huge bill as I will end up buying her two fragrance and at least one for myself.
Great review beautiful lady and love the new intro, my favorite oud is actually clones from Alexandria fragrances named ouddiction and Arabian Hustler . Ouddiction is a clone of Intio ouddiction for greatness and the other is Tom fords tobacco oud
Shaghaf Oud is a good clone of Maison Lancôme Oud Bouquet. Very similar but the Lancôme has better longevity and is perhaps a touch smoother. The price difference is huge though (the amazing Lancôme bottle makes up for some of it!). The Shaghaf is cheap enough that I sometimes spray it as a rich room scent but the Oud Bouquet is exclusively for my GF usage :). Chopard Oud Malaki is pretty nice but not a lot of Oud really so good for those not into the more ‘skanky’ types and I happily wear it as a guy as it leans more masculine
I smelt the Oud Bouquet and I like it however I feel like for someone that isn’t in love with Oud it’s a huge price to pay. I’ll probably own it some day though 😊 #addict

there is no oud (agarwood) in arab countries, so they get it from southeast asia countries like Malaysia, Indonesia and Cambodia.

Haha! I do recommend lily and amber Aoud 😊 They are night and day but so good for a woman. Also sweetie Aoud if you like oud!

I have 2 "cheapie" oud frags. Armaf 'shades wood' and Versace 'oud night' . shades is quite harsh but night is quite nice.
