Thank you so much for this brilliant flower. I just made one, and it's turned out great. Thank you.
That’s such a cool idea, I kinda want to make just a bunch of leaves for my parrots room but I’d probably terrify them.
Oh!!! I didn't know you were in New Orleans! Nice! I'm from there too, living in Baton Rouge rn. Loved the video as always, thanks for posting!
Wow I love these. When we get my girl's room painted I definitely want to do this and put them everywhere. They would love it! Thank you for doing this!
Great idea!! I considered putting one (or more) of these in Penny's room after I take them down :)
These are definitely worthy of being on a float!!! Or House Float!!!💜💚💛 Thanks so much for your tips and tutorial...I’m making mine today!!
You always figure things out when the plan needs to change mid project! These are beautiful :)
💜💛💚 love your flowers! Using this idea to do giant flowers that are "carnivorous" for our Halloween yard haunt.
Such a helpful video. Thank you for explaining it step by step. They look great!
These are AWESOME!!! I'm so using this as inspiration for my kid's wagon floats at school!!
Hey from Algiers Point! Thank you SO MUCH for this tutorial! I’m excited to try it. You got an instant subscribe for this!
This is amazing. You’re so creative
Did this for my MG party and they turned out great!! Thank you!!!
I'm in love with this - you did an amazing job! Great tutorial
Great job. You’re so clever.
I'm so glad your family is staying safe! The is for uploading
Thank you, and you're welcome!
Wonderful❣️Nicely done.👍Happy & safe Mardi Gras 2021 to you and your loved ones❗️💜💚💛
This was beautiful and good to look at especially now with cold and snow outside. Very talented. Yes I agree more depth in color in the center, but not too much. Blessings
Thank you! The flowers are amazing!
You did a wonderful, amazing job. Love them,
Beautiful. Great job keeping yourself and loved ones safe 😊👍
Thank you
You nailed it. As good as what I've seen around NOLA.
Love these and I'm going to try it.
Perfect! Just enough explanation to make for an easy project! Thank you. I enjoyed this very much :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
You did a fantastic job!
Awesome job. Thank you for the tutorial!
they are beautiful!!
Thank you!
thanks for making this. happy mardi gras!
Loved your tutorial. I just made my first flower.
This is an excellent video! Thanks for sharing your project and how we can do something similarly beautiful!
These are beautiful.
What gauge of wire did you use?
These are so amazing! Great job.
Glad you like them!
What are you using to secure them to your house? They are beautiful!
I love it! It definitely looks like it belongs on a float. I miss NOLA so much 😭
Thank you! 💞
Amazing!!!!!
Thank you for posting!
These are gorgeous. What gauge wire did you use inside of the flowers?
Loved it!
How beautiful! Is it essential to paint the back of the petals and leaves?
Way cool!
Amazing !!! Love these. What kind of wire do you use for the flowers ?
These are great. How many poster boards did you use for the whole flower?
So great and beautiful!! What kind of wire did you use?
the frilly effect on the petals works really well :)
Thanks! At first I thought I ruined them, lol, but as I pushed on, I liked it more and more!
Thank you SO MUCH for posting this!! I missed the free class that Krewe of House Floats live streamed to Facebook so this was super helpful!
What type of sealer and adhesive spray did you use?
For what it's worth, I used spray adhesive to adhere the poster board layers. Worked best on larger petals. The smaller petals I closed the gaps with rubber cement. Also, my stapler wasn't great so trust hot glue for the inner layer.
Lovely
How waterproof would these be? Thinking today making them for a float. I’m in Seattle-so you can see why waterproof is important!🤣
ugh, I hate that parades are cancelled too. I’m thinking to do a big Mardi Gras crafting day. Thinking to make float flowers for my yardi gras
How do you get your wire so straight? Mine is in a coil and when I lay it down in the poster it pops up even after I try to straighten it.
What type and brand of paint did you use?
What size or gauge is that wire that you used for the petals and leaves
What gauge of wire did you use?
Im really bummed that MG is cancelled but the die hards are helping to keep the spirit going.. I heard that there will be a drive thru display. I believe it's at City Park. Ill be looking into that....
Your flowers ate lovely and glad our rain didn't have any effect on them.
Thank you
What type of wire did you use?
HI WHAT MATERIAL DO YOU USE
VERY BEAUTIFUL
Great job - I always wondered how those float flowers were made
Thanks so much 😊
Anyone know what kind of wire she uses between leaves and petals?
I don't know. I used green garden wire that looks about the same thickness as her video, but the wire inside the plastic coating must be thinner. The petals bend fine but it would have been better with slightly thicker wire perhaps.
WOW....WOW...WOW...PEOPLE.ARE.SO CREATIVE.
.BUT THAT DINOSAUR ONE MUST OF.COST.AN ARM.AND.A LEG!!! SO WELL.DONE.
IF IN WAS THERE I WOULD DO A DOG ONE...
Oh yeah, people here go all out for these kinds of things!
Could I use cardboard?
You probably could. It would be more difficult to shape it like how you want it, though, and if you use corrugated cardboard, it would be hard to get it where the lines of the corrugation wouldn't show. Speaking of corrugation, if I were to make these out of cardboard, I'd make sure that the corrugation ran perpendicular with the length of the leaves and petals so they can bend.
Need plastic in case it rains!!!..MAYBE DOLLAR.STORE PLASTIC.TABLE.CLOTH AND WIRE?????
Just went and checked on the flowers after 2 days of rain and the clear coat Rachel put on them has kept them in perfect condition. I'm sure there are more life long flower materials, but so far this is working out. :)
As Jason said, they seem to be holding up well so far! Ideally decor like this would be hung on a covered porch or something so minimal rain can get to it. The door flower is pretty protected, but the other two are on a more exposed wall of the house, so they're getting more exposure.
@@chezlin Nice job. Can you post the supplies needed? Thanks
What kind of wire did you use?
I used 16 or 14 gauge(I can't remember which) galvanized wire. I think it would be comparable to a wire coat hanger.
