We facing bad experience yesterday they agreed 2500 for 6 person we confirmed it 3 times after helpers came and pay each 200 after completing 4 view and ride when we give payment 2500 they change and say 2500/person and souting and gathering also our driver sutoff because off comision after too much we pay 8500 for 6 person very bad experience so please first record video proof of deal than take ride and contacting with tourisam office

My review on Sonamarg pony Ride :

Everything is fine. But I had a terrible experience today from A union guy who goes with the team as a rescue guide. The guy was addicted and he makes a trap for me. He took the rope of my kids horse and ask for 5k Rupees and threatened me he will harm my son. I immediately give all money in my wallet to him. The guy was drunk and started fighting with other horse rides. I request everyone to be very careful while choosing pooney ride , make everything finalized before you start ride specially very carefully about union safety guys. They put trap when they see small family having kids.
I request Kashmir police to stop such unwanted incidents which is extremely bad for Kashmir image.
About the area it is very beautiful. So beautiful that you can't believe in your eyes until you see it live

Did the srinagar cab allowed till Sonmarg? Or did the union taxi ppl stopped you?
Yes they did allowed but stopped just 5 km before tourist spots from there you have to hire local cabs

Mere sath bhut bura hua Sohan Marg me 28 July 2019 ke din me apne gf ke sath gya tha 😢😢😢 Vaha ke logo ne 1 min nature feal nhi krne diya activity’s ke liye force kiya mene mana bola ladai hui or mere gf ke sath bhi meri ladai hui or bhut bekar tha 3 Sal ho gyeh mujhe abhi tk regrate hota h kash me ache se time de pata gf ko😢😢😢😢

Main September gaya tha bht hee kharab experience tha sonmarg ka horse riding Wale v thugte hain aur riding phase 1 phase 2 ka price fix hai online ticket bhi milta hai usme v yeh log scam karte hain
Main Jammu se leke Srinagar tak jaha v gaya sab jagah Aisa hee laga sab ek dusre se mile hote hain tourist se scam karte rehte hain

Here unemployment rate has grown too fast so they do this because every one now a days is dependent on tourists because here educated people has become jobless.
Still this is not the way to earn money
Sonmarg is a scammer place .
These union people talk sweetly at the beginning and convince the people to do pony ride and after finishing the pony ride they say when did I say this regarding the amount ?

The pony ride to the Glacier should be Rs 1000-1200. Never pay beyond Rs. 1500.
Do not let your taxi driver do the bargaining. The driver will get a fat commission for getting a high price. You do the bargaining.
make it clear that you will not pay a penny more than agreed.
As soon as you start the ride, "Helpers" will flock and try to convince you that the path is dangerous and you require their services. In a harsh manner tell them to leave and make it clear you will not pay them.
Do not pay more than Rs 300 for the sledge ride.

We don't have any govt nor can we say anything because here protests are known as voilance . These are reasons behind all happenings with you . I know whatever is happening is not good but here poverty has crossed lines . To protect their children from hunger they do this .
