- In this video we talk about my picks for my top 10 most fun models to play in middle earth. We focus a lot on competitive play so I thought it would be good to get back to what the game is all about!
Our next Kickstarter "Kingdom of Azragor": www.kickstarter.com/projects/...

I have to add Radagast on sleigh, he is sooo much fun. The magic, the stupid number of attacks and the utter joy when Sebastian gets a kill altogether make him the most fun model for me.
I have been absolutely wrecked by this guy, I need to have a shot at playing with him!
I think that Boromir's horn is such a cool and themey element to his profile, that and his insane pool of might (plus his banner if you're running the Minas Tirith list version of him) makes him a powerhouse. For Gondor!
Honourable mention to the goblin king rule where he can pick up a goblin and throw it at you
also that one goblin town named capatin. he can swap place's with the king him self.
@@TheBronfyou did Grinnah dirty by not call him by his name
Grinnah's grinning 😁
I know it's not a stellar pick, but for thematic reasons, I absolutely love Lurtz in his Legendary Legion. My opinion is that it matches how he was portrayed in the film so well between his shield throw, and potentially free heroic challenge. He was the face and introduction of the Uruk Hai, and the movie did such a good job of making him that cool, nameless villain that you were still thrilled to see defeated in the end. What's not to love?
I suppose he may not be one of the greatest models in the game, but I am trying his legion out for the first time this weekend, and am so stoked for it.
Super cool video !
Personally I also like the mini game going on between Gimli and legolas😅
I love sharku, when a hero fails To wound you get a cheeky s4 hit. Not huge but when it goes off its hilarious
He is definitely worth an honourable mention! He is in all of my Isengard listd
Also Helm Hammerhand choosing to put his sword away and just fighting with his fists is pretty fun!
This was great! Thank you. One of the most fun for me is Sauron. Just love having a killing machine who can cast spells, do brutal power attacks, and doesn’t die. I know you considered the fun of the opponent as well, so it doesn’t make sense to go in your list. However, I have had a situation where he lost a fight to ONE Numenorean Warrior and was wounded. Hilarious. And there was another time when I rolled 4 dice to win a fight and got 4 ones! That’s a 1 in 1296 chance. Yeah those moments were really fun for my opponent lol.
Where my list would differ is having more monsters. But this was great. Thanks.
Random hero I love is Goroth Captain of the Morannon. Burly with a 2 handed mace is fun to use but the "Come Here Maggot" rule is a blast.
I love it wildman with the six inch banner and piercing strike! I even throw a few 2 handed ones in my army supported by a huscarl. They actually do alot of work
love the passion and joy you bring to your videos.
thank you for making this! I just discovered middle earth battle groups probably one of the best skirmish games games workshop ever made, and this is coming from a heavy necromunda player
I would like to add the brutal power attack: hurl. It's so much fun and it can be a real game changer. It just offers so many strategic options. Interrupting an unfavorable fight by tossing a dwarf into the mix is hilarious to me.
As an Easterling player, I really like Brorgir. A cheeky tremor, or 2, or 3 if you get lucky with sorcerous adept is potentially game winning.
I love the idea of the iron hills chariot and (of course) the champion chariot, I would love to see a 3D printed version of the champion chariot in a video at some point
I don't believe they're in the game anymore and I never really played any game back in the day (and still haven't, for that matter lol) but I did always like the idea of the Khandish Mercenaries. They'd trade in one point of courage to get F4, the horsemen are 2 points cheaper but after deployment you'd roll a D6 for every mercenary in your army and on a 1 they'd be instantly removed (including no longer counting towards your army limit). No clue if it was ever worth taking them but the idea just sounded hilarious to me.
i remember them. ya that profile was removed but the fact that you can have cheap fight 4 units that can instantly just become a casulty before the game even starts is rather interesting to me.
Loved this video. More content like this would be awesome!
Thanks for the comment I can definitely get more stuff like this one out
Great type of content, love to see more ❤
Thanks for the comment! I appreciate the feedback and I'll definitely do more like this
Really cool! Would've expected some Khandish chariots in there as well
Fun list. I would argue Mumaks are not fun to play against, especially if your army lacks the tools required to deal with it 😅
This was a great idea for a video, fun stuff.
Awesome 👍 thanks 🙏
Cool video :) cool to hear what you consider funny :D
I had a lot of fun thanks to Bat Swarm - amazing model for competitive and casual Gameplay.
Dain iron foot is also really fun, because he can headbutt people. Great video btw
Ents are so much fun. Usually a good play experience for both players.
I love playing with a Knight of the White Tower! Getting that 6 is so sweet!
I love me the golden throne and his unique use of gold to effect courage 🙌😂
My sleeper choice is Grimbold of Grimslade, no one expects anything from him because he's a foot hero without burly, but his S4 infantry can really mix up a Rohan list, and 3 Might with Mighty Blow can see him bisecting even monsters pretty easily
My wild men have somehow killed multiple Beornings in a single game before
This game is one of the best gw have made. Its great to hear all the thematic character rules.
This is definitely the best wargame! Thanks for the comment
late to the party but have to shout out my boy dalamyr. can be very killy but super low defence. smoke bombs, throwing weapons, stalk unseen just this secret agent toolkit to play with. F5 and can strike but only 2 might. but with some rules and 3 fate to keep him around if he lose a fight. you just dance on a knife edge the whole time with him, super fun for both sides. should definitely replace bolg in this list. who might be fun for the dude using him but is a pretty negative play experience for the other guy.
Very fun video. One question, if I may: you said Ori gets to make two slignshot attacks if he doesn't move. I don't see that anywhere in his profile. Is this an errata, maybe that I'm missing? Cheers! Love the channel!
Hay Jakob when is the last part of Kingdom of Durak Deeps buildings coming out.
Honestly, my favorite is doing a list with no named characters because we need the nameless grunts to get some time in the spotlight
Nameless grunts are cool but I love my named characters! Nothing cooler than Aragorn smashing through lines of orcs
@@ConquestCreations although that's true, it is also pretty cool to see a horde of orcs smashed through Aragon
I think this dude might just like dwarves
Man how TF did Smaug ever kill Thror with those 3+ fate saves and Defense 9?
I think Floi can be really nice, i think it is especially fun when the fly special rule gets turned off on Gwaihir or a combat wraith with fell beast and they're like, oh, so what's my move value... 2?
Floi is super fun to play with but it definitely feels bad to be on the other side of him hahaha
especially since Bolg has the longest WARG there ever is and will be! Way to compensate for something maybe? :P
Haven’t watched it yet but Dain Ironfoot and the Goats better be on this list. Dain for his headbutt rule and well the goats head butt too! 😂
i rather like the dragon and drake models. the survial instinct tho ruins the dragon for me.
The impaler camels are (not) fun to play against. I mostly play against my mate with Harad/Far Harad. So Mumaks and camels all day. Also the Mumaks have half trolls in them for when they finish trampling my guys..
I love the bombs on Isengard, can be hard to use right, and still might not do anything, or may win you the game in a round haha
I have played a lot of the demo team now. I think it is one of the most thrilling pieces in the game to play with. It's definitely got my heart rate up high but I think it can be a bad piece to play against
Pretty much all hobbit armies aren't fun at all for me both to play or to face. They are very game'y, they remind me of other GW titles in their army rules and stats. Lotr factions are much more timid and realistic in a way.
