The Sanchez Crew's Aliens: Neoplasma titles offer the same intense atmosphere that you get from the best Alien-based games, particularly the stunning second game that came out in 2024. And they do it all on a 40-year old machine -- forget about being amongst the best modern Speccy games, these are two of the best ZX Spectrum games ever made. Enjoy!

These new Spectrum games are bloody good, aren't they? Have a shout about them here, and thanks for watching!
Imagine what could've been if Speccy programmers knew how to put the Speccy to these hights back in the 80s. Speccy boys would've owned C64 snobs on the schoolyard...
My dude, that game looks better than it ever should. That's great work from the developers 👍🏼
@joypadretro2797 well... as an Atari 8-Bit coder I can tell you that the stuff which is possible on Atari today is way more impressive then the stuff in the 80s. And this is true even more so on the C64. So.... 😄
@@crtxl yeah i know. but just imagine that atari, c64, speccy knowledge back then....
When a game created for a system 40 yrs old is better than anything hollywood is dishing out. Hope to see more of these guys.
Whoa! Very detailed review, many thanks from the whole team!
Damn Kim you convinced me someone who grew up in North America without ever really knowing about the ZX Spectrum to play the ZX Spectrum congratulations
They missed a trick not naming it, Aliens Neoplasma II - face hugger boogaloo!
Hi, Kim. Thanks for sharing this. Glad to see the 'Speccy', still have some 'Code', written for it. A great concept. I thought you had disappeared, so also glad to see you still around doing the wonderful job you do for all of us 'Nostalgia Geeks/Developers'.:)
Sanchez Crew are simple awesome, they bring the console type of games (like NES) to the ZX Spectrum indeed, but with some fresh takes. The "terror" mood, sense of isolation like you've said is what I love on these games. I still have to play the second one, thanks for the video.
a face hug doesn't sound like a bad thing.... in fact it sounds quite nice....
Thanks for such a detailed review!
Adore this game, probably my fave speccy game ever!
Great content as always, Kim. Thanks for all your efforts once again, as they are greatly appreciated.
Brilliant video on a brilliant game series! I still need to get the 2nd one!
Hey Kim. I was forced to get rid of my Amstrad and Amiga about 20 years ago, and feel slightly sick every time I think about that.
Your channel really helps me with that. If anything, your channel tops actually playing those games and really transports me back to being a kid on my computers or in the arcade.
Fantastic channel.
Excellent video Kim thanks mate! 👍😎👍
Love watching about new games on old stuff
Wow!! These are awesome!
amazing
Seriously impressive!! Usually I just enjoy watching the newer speccy games, but with these I want to play them!
Wonderful stuff Kim. I have a soft spot for the Electric Dreams Aliens game... it's terrifying, has great music but the "how to win" is baffling. Facehuggers in AvP Gold are real threats... scuttle... scuttle... face full of death!
This looks amazing & atmospheric will have to give it a go during the dark winter evenings.
brilliant looking games and good music.
I meant to ask you about doing this in the chat the other day. Now to sit back and enjoy.
yes i have these games for my Spectrum Next. I was on the second kickstarter for the next and I use one of those new retrobit Megadrive style 6 button pads and it works brilliant on it. The MD 6 button pad is essentially becoming the stock default controller for the Next with most new games directly supporting it. I live in Canada and never grew up playing any Spectrum but I LOVE my new Spectrum Next. I’m discovering tons of great games both new and old for it. Cheers! 🥂
Excellent video Kim! Been meaning to play the first game on my Spectrum Next for a little while, and I didnt know about the sequel until now.
Brilliant, love anything to do with Alien and the ZX Spectrum. So when these worlds collide for a Kim Justice doc, I'm all over it! Many thanks for your continued dedication to the cause, Kim. ❤
I absolutely adored Aliens Neoplasma so I'm definitely going to pick up the second game.
Lol aliens music at the end. Man that game was scary
Great video as always, Kim! Thanks! X
I fucking love Kim Justice!
Il definitely check these out soon! XD
Nice video Kim. I have no idea about current-yet-retro gaming, so its interesting to me.
Cheers!
😊
I have never been luxky enough to get my hands on a Speccy Next. I would absolutely love to see this being released on Playstation. 🙏
Brilliant!
I love that these new micro games are being released I should really try some of the c64's games since that was my system of old
Proud to have.an official tape copy of Neoplasma 1 to add to my extensive Aliens games collection. Hopefully, once Russia is beaten back and the war comes to an end, they'll be able to manufacture some tapes of Neoplasma II (can't be done at the moment).
spectrum next is something i just heard about today, and i will need to find out more.
Brilliant! Are you planning any more videos on new Speccy titles Kim?
I would love to do a playthrough (Or at least a gameplay vid to help spread the word. of the trilogy some day.
There was a game I played on the Spectrum 128k Not sure if only a demo but you played an Alien chasing a baby lol... No idea of the name though always bugs me when I can't remember game names I used to play.
The music sounds too cheery and happy for an Alien game though.
@@Imgema here we are again, liking your own comments. That's how you can tell an insecure chump. You're a beta 😭
Commenting before watching to get in first :)
Any links for purchase?
This is totally my scene 👊🏻
I want to get into spectrum, commodore and amiga homebrews but it’s a bit overwhelming. Is there a good site to start with to find these games?
Ordered back to the tube?
I guess one has to grow up with the speccy to find any of its graphics past or present nice to look at.
Disagree. I didn’t grow up with it and I find these graphics stylish and phenomenally executed.
Kind of an emotional rollercoaster to see games created by people from a nation that is invading and killing people where members of their town dev eam live and could potentially be murdered by their own armed forces. I know the individuals making the game on both sides are not responsible, it's just a crazy thing to think about. Hope the Ukrainian members of the team are not bombed.
You've been watching too much CNN. The Russians don't give a ... about this confilct, exactly as the Americans didn't give a ... about what happened in Iraq. The Ukrainians on migration too: when you ask sane men of draft age why they don't go defend their "poor" homeland, they look at you like you're crazy or outright laugh. Especially the young hate the government in Kiev, which a few years ago pacified pro-democratic students demonstrations who were fed up with the regime - which is not mentioned at all in the Western media (oh, wonder why).
Well well well, if it isn’t the old Ukrainian Sanchez
As a Russian, I can’t help but wonder why are accents in our names so difficult for you Western folks (it’s UdOtov, specifically). Still, excellent video as always, Kim!
Woads? Where were gowin' we don't need woads.
You got a strange name for a bloke
