- Now that the National Champion has been crowned it's time to get some thoughts on how it went down. Georgia and TCU participate in the College Football Playoff to give feedback on how to improve the experience.

When you go into the season praying for a 6-6 record but end up as Fiesta bowl champs, it's kind of hard to be mad.

We went in this season praying for a bowl game, and now we have more playoff wins than Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee, Auburn, Florida, Miami, and USC combined - we’re good! 😂
And now, it's time to start the good ol' time honored tradition of waiting for what feels like an eternity for the 2023 season.
Why does the season have to fly by so fast?
I literally go through a depression after football season. On Saturdays, especially. Those months with no football feel 10 times longer than the actual football season.
Hopefully we get some off-season drama for off season SEC shorts…
SEC Shorts should do monthly live shows around the SE during the off season. That would give us something to look forward to.

I’m surprised that TCU didn’t mention the game where they upset Michigan I understand that they were embarrassed by Georgia but the semifinal was still the greatest moment in team history

@Tracking Nature no Georgia all year played just good enough to win but the best game UGA played was the UT game. They played Ohio State like they did Missouri, Kentucky and Kent State no foot on throat. TCU didn't even get full UGA either cause if you watch the TCU game and the Tennessee game the only Team they play 110% felt disrespected and wanted to make a point was Tennessee. LSU, OHST, Kentucky, Oregon, TCU, Kent State, Florida, South Carolina, Vandy, Samford, Miss State, Georgia Tech all got just enough to win. I watched every game and by far the only Team they played all out was Tennessee. Ohio State game the players didn't look fired up they looked like they didn't care all week. I even though Ohio State may win because of it cause literally they had the same mindset as they did again Kent State, Missouri and Kentucky. I knew if they didn't at least play with some real effort and take it seriously Ohio State would win. I don't like a team realizing at half time figuring out they got to play the UGA defense didn't go all out at any point. They just played down only 2 games they played up for TCU and Tennessee being ranked ahead of them being undefeated reigning Champs. The fans were more fired up and the players were as well. That defense looked like a joke and I don't mean Ohio State made them look it. They looked it no fire in them didn't play with effort. It was a horrible game UGA couldn't have played any worse as a team. And OHST should have won but didn't. If UGA play like just TCU Ohio State wouldn't have scored more than 14 points. If they play Tennessee how they played Ohio State they would have lost. They didn't itnis what it is UGA was the best Team when they wanted to be. Problem is they played half of their games with no desire. They played way too complacent and it's why Tennessee ended up being ranked ahead of them. Big Ten is seen as trash they have 3 teams with any talent and carry your conference in recruiting while the SEC literally every team is top 40 in player Vandy has the same talent level as Purdue that was just in the BIGTEN Championship game. The gap between SEC and every other conference is massive the average team in the SEC ranks 20.1 in recruiting. BIGTEN is second at 34.5 ACC 37.4 BIG12 39.8 PAC12 42.4 The gap in talent on every team in the SEC to all other conferences is insane 5 out of the top 10 are SEC teams the top 25 has 11 SEC schools. The top 26 12, top 30 13, teams are SEC schools. The only team not in the top 30 is Vandy and they are 39th tied with Purdue and Baylor. Only 1 BIGTEN school is top 10 only 1 ACC, 2 BIG12, 1 PAC12 schools make up the top 10 the top 5 school 3 are SEC schools, and the top 6 4 are SEC schools. It isn't close

This comment is a tad long winded but hear me out…we need to get these guys blown up and get them on college game day in front of a national audience…here’s my reasonings…they have the Best comedic college football Channel on CZcams!! Been watching Josh and the boys for years now. Since back when not many people really knew who they were. now they have well over a quarter million subscribers and all their videos combined must have millions upon millions of views easy. most of their vids average around 350,000-650,000 views per vid…with a handful with way over a million views! Freakin Kirk Herbstreit, one of the main faces of college football, is even plugging their main sponsor, Renaissance Bank (which is an incredible bank btw) following every single video…that’s impressive. Im super happy for all the guys and ladies involved in SEC Shorts. They are slowly but surely blowing up, they’ll be huge within a year or two. The skits and pure comedic wit they have will get them a feature on a few college game days in the future if they keep growing their brand like they are now. They deserve all of it. They are just sooo funny and so witty. Keep in mind, they only have around 48 hours (sometimes even less) to come up with the most recent relevant idea, then make it funny and film it perfectly. Such talent. I think they’d do really well on college game day. I really do wish we could start some sort of petition or grassroots movement to get them on college games day. If they play some of their 3-4 all time best skits for Lee Corso, Pat Mcafee (who would LOVE them and you know it 😂) and of course Herby who already does business with these guys and likes them. I wish Kirk would get them on during some SEC college game days in the next 1-2 seasons

TCU had a great season with a 1st year coach. This game was just a bit too much for them.
They had everything go wrong. They waited for the worst time to have their first bad game. Those 3 first half turnovers absolutely destroyed their chances.
Just to be clear, TCU did deserve to be there, and no, Alabama didn't. The committee may have gotten the seeding wrong, but they did pick the right 4 teams. Not to mention, TCU had to actually win a playoff game to earn the right to get blown out by UGA. If TCU was so overmatched that they didn't deserve the invite, what does that say about Michigan?
As a Bama fan I agree. It's true you can make an argument for why Bama should have been there, they are good and barely lost both games to ranked teams, BUT - there has to be a STANDARD, and the chosen and accepted standard is record and strength of schedule. Nobody wants a system where at the end of every season each team has to make a supreme-court case for why they should get in the playoffs. Regardless of the extenuating circumstances, Bama fell short of the standard this year, and nobody was bad-mouthing TCU after the Michigan game. I think TCU was an underdog team that fought hard against Michigan and just didn't have anything left in the tank when they met Georgia, maybe they never really believed they would be there, and maybe they weren't the best match-up, but that doesn't mean they didn't deserve to be there. Michigan fans probably agree with me.
@@Tigerh8r Exactly right. If you pick the playoff teams simply by who is perceived to be "the best," that opens up the selection process to all sorts of bias, rather than determining who actually deserves to be there based on their resume of real-world game performance.

As a TCU fan, this hurts. Finally, TCU made an SEC shorts video, and it stings as much as finally TCU making it to the national championship and watching them no show 😞. There was a mercy rule in play. UGA showed mercy by not going for 100 points.

Actually, you can “blame” Ohio State more than anyone. When a team (on paper) is generally better than their opponents, and then they win a game they had no business winning, they usually play their next game with a vengeance to prove their utter superiority.
