    Hey Matt love your content but I just want to know what exercises I should be doing I watch your videos and the exercises you tell us is just an exercise that you say is good but I would appreciate it if you made a video about the exact exercises we should be doing and what it trains

    My training sessions with the team are late in the day (usually around 9pm). I have work in the morning and my MSc. classes in the afternoon so I usually use the time in between them to hit the gym. Do you have any specific advice for someone in a situation like mine where gym sessions and field sessions are separated in the day?
    Thank you and keep up the good work man! I have been learning a lot from your videos.

    Hi Matt,
    Great video! I really took a lot from it.
    My off season schedule is below. Could you take a look and see what you’d change, or suggest.
    Monday: Fitness Am, Gym PM
    Tuesday: Speed
    Wednesday: Gym
    Thursday: Rest
    Friday: speed
    Saturday: Fitness AM, Gym PM
    Sunday: Recovery
    I was also wondering what are some of the ways I can speed up recovery in season when playing 2 matches per week, most week.
    Thanks man, keep up the good work!

      @@YourFootballTrainer100 percent of young athletes in USA are overtrained. This video is worth what it's made of. A few electrons. Basic movement patterns and 100 percent activation, plus hydration/nutrition, and skeletal alignment, and rest...... Are all more important than anything you discussed. One sprint every two weeks at full intensity is plenty..... And then just focus in training when your coach needs it. A cheetah sprints 3-12 minutes per month. 😂😂😂😂😂

      @sasquatchrosefarts Před 11 dny

      @@YourFootballTrainerand you actually said that 100 percent intensity sprinting isn't hard or fatiguing. This is comedy. 100 percent sprints obliterate you 😂😂😂😂

    is push x2 and pull x2 along with 1 strength leg day and 1 plyometrics leg day suitable for a keeper in off season?(along with normal drills 6 days a week keeping one day without any exercise to recover) for 16 year old?

  • @johannesldemel5428
    @johannesldemel5428 Před 24 dny +2

    I would like to get your thoughts on how to train the best way possible, when your between a 1. and 2. team. The 1. team match is most often one day before the 2. team, where you dont get minutes with the 1. team. You have to be ready to come in at any point with the 1. team, be ready for the 2. team game the next game, as well as getting a good training schedule for development.

    • @YourFootballTrainer
      @YourFootballTrainer  Před 24 dny +2

      Really good question. If you feel you even have the possibility of getting minutes on that 1 team, you just need to treat it like an intense match. Definitely want to recover 24 hours post match from the 2 game. Then your most intense session should be right after that to make sure you are fresh for when the 1 match comes around again. I hope that makes sense.

    Do you separate your off and pre season into different phases ? Meaning somewhat of a prep phase, followed by some anaerobic endurance phase , then hypetrophy strength, followed by strength power (pre season)and finally sports power phase (preseason and pre competition)

    • @YourFootballTrainer
      @YourFootballTrainer  Před 25 dny +1

      I definitely have different phases, but not like that. This may be a good question for the next Q and A I do.

    • @YourFootballTrainer
      @YourFootballTrainer  Před 25 dny +1

      But long story short, I make sure to have all of these things in some capacity at all points of the program at different emphasis depending on the athlete, where they are at in their season, etc

    Hey matt is it bad if do a plyo session like lets say day 1 of ur plyo blueprint of any week and after that power strengh(back squat,bench press) and accesory excercises so would that count as a high stim workout in total it would be 10 excercises for strengh power and Accesory excercises would it count or is it too much?

    • @YourFootballTrainer
      @YourFootballTrainer  Před 25 dny +1

      Depending on what you are doing in terms of techinncal work that is more than fine! Your accessories may be medium stim, but there is no problem combining high and medium stim days
