Loved your glasses and the video. Now, I have a bone to pick with you… do you know what empathy means? Empathy- the ability to share and understand the feelings of another. You started this channel and invited us in and we came. We’ve all grown together and become friends who watch and wait to see our Mama Brooke take us … out for road trips, thrifting, gardening, cooking and more. We seen beautiful historic places in Canada and fabulous gardens and art in LA and you’ve kept it real and I would like to think that we’ve kept it real too…so I’m not giving you sympathy when I say I hope you feel better, I care. My wonderful, vibrant friend is hurting and no one wants that for you. We care. So how can you ask us, your “ adopted family” your beautiful, funny CZcams followers not to wish you well?? My daughter tells me all the time I need to learn it’s it always giving it’s accepting too… as she says learn to appreciate that other people care too and stop being so hard I think she calls it. Find your love language.🤦🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ i’m very guilty of this. i’m an extremely independent person who is always done everything herself and cared for herself from a very young age ,so yes, I do have a problem with it and the only reason I even expressed my illness on my CZcams channel was because there’s days that I’m just not well it wasn’t airing my laundry .Lot of people that have known me for years don’t even know about it …so it’s very hard for me to accept someone caring for me too. I truly believe it’s because it’s a silent disease .I look OK but they can’t see what’s inside so it’s hard to explain to other people how painful it really is let’s face it it’s the suicide disease Why cause people kill themself over it (not this girl don’t trust that) I truly appreciate you Lisa and I do feel like your my friend. Loves always Brooke … you made me cry so stop your shit lol xoxo 😘 p.s. you should’ve seen what I added it out of it as it was pretty harsh and I decided I didn’t need to slam people for being kind. Hello Brooke, I've been so busy over the last couple of weeks that I've only just had a chance to catch up on your videos. I've been overwhelmed with some much needed spring cleaning that it's been quite hectic and my surroundings dishevelled. Yet, as soon as I start watching your videos, I am filled with a sense of calm and relaxation such is your level headed approach and quiet demeanour. I truly believe the human spirit can guide you through the most difficult and most painful of times and you are evidence of that. The thought of disappointing your followers proves just how strong is your will to push forward and carry on with life. I think we would all love to be able to take away your pain so if we do voice our concern, please don't be offended. We apologise if it may make you feel uncomfortable but it stems from our hearts as it would for any of our friends. Accept it Brooke, you are much admired in this group so put on that beautiful smile. You had some lovely gift ideas in this video. Unfortunately, we don't have snow where I live and Christmas day can range anywhere from 20 degrees celsius to a whopping 46 degrees celsius all while a turkey the size of a toddler is slowly cooking in the oven! I particularly loved the china pieces you found and the beautiful candle sticks - now these would make gorgeous Christmas gifts. You have a unique style and I would love to see more of that. Now, if you tire of those stunning black and gold plates you bought, I would be more than happy to take them off your hands 😆. Alas, I know you already have a special place for them. Had a ball on this trip Brooke. You and Lori have a great deal of fun together and that shines through. Great friendships are a lifelong mission to be nurtured and treasured. And enjoyed! I find it very helpful when you share that you are in pain and you are still going for your day. I, too, have a ton of pain and struggle to get moving. When I see you rising to your challenge, it gives me a little push to get going too. Don’t ever hesitate to share with your people. Happy to see you’re out of the house. I’m 75 and not in great health so totally understand staying in when not 100%. But we need to get out to help ourselves shake off our problems for awhile. I know how you feel about accepting sympathy and talking about how your health is. For me sometimes I just felt like I was always complaining so I decided when people asked me how I was doing or feeling that I would answer “fabulous”. Because I could be sick or in pain (or not) but I was ALWAYS fabulous. Just saying it and seeing the answering smiles would actually make me feel a bit better able to cope. Sending much love❤️

They are so you❤ People dont realize how easy it is to create a little personalized gift from found items and a candy store.🍬 I was thinking you could buy one of those large brandy sifters, put a sprig of holly, some hot chocolate pks, small bottles of brandy and bitters, pk of chocolate cherries and after Christmas they could make a terrarium out of it if they wanted.❤

I have been brainstorming about gifts because some of my younger family members have expressed that they don't have as much money and they're being bummed out about it. I know from being a little older that these things come and go. Money is here and then money is not here. Right now more than ever I am just so appreciative of just being alive and having some cognizance and some measure of health. So I'm really thinking about giving smaller more intimate well thought out presents like the way you are putting it together. If the man that we become more creative and to sit and think about each other not just to buy for each other. How do we say to each other that it's the thought that counts and then we don't sit down and think about each other? I know I'm preaching but I'm serious. I appreciate the way you're describing these gifts because these things are so much more heartfelt and thoughful❤
