You weren't kidding when you said it was a disaster
I got a new puppy 2 months ago, and my dog always tried to bite my puppy. But we let them sleep in separate crates that are next to each other, and finally my older dog acted nice to the puppy a few days later. Now my dog is scared of my puppy (when she barks and bares her teeth) lol because whenever my puppy play fights, she even pulls out some of my dogs hair. My puppy is a pariah dog and my dog is a German shepherd and pariah dog cross
I got a puppy for Christmas and his name is dexter and I have a senior pup they sniffed each then the puppy got crazy and my older dog is blind and deaf
my dog met my current border collie 6 months ago. Their meeting was touching they immediately gave each other so many kisses they were and still are inseparable ❤️🥺
I think this is the first time I've ever seen a very common and realistic puppy introduction! All our dogs have ended up loving each other but when they first meet, it usually took about a month for them to accept each other. It's good to show this side of life, because there's this fantasy that it's all hugs and laughter when you get a puppy but it's exhausting and very stressful for a lot of people.
Lol! You guys scared me for a second, I thought you got a third pup 😂 but it’s so cute to see how close Sky and Kakoa has become over the years. Absolutely adorable 🥰

Kakoa as a pup looks so cute and yes it took time for Sky to get used to Kakoa being so little, to now being best friends/sisters. We all of a path in life and this was their path.Love you Husky Fam and stay pawsitive❤💞👍🐾🐾

That's a great video! In September 2021 we brought Felix a 7 month samoyed home to our 4 year old Husky Samoyed Olaf. The beginning was harder than expected, pretty much the same as your story. Now they starting to be lovely brothers. Thanks for sharing!

So that’s why Kakoa was scared a lot in the beginning. Poor Kakoa but she held her ground with Sky. And I never saw this side of Sky. What a beautiful pair of huskies you have there. So glad things worked out for you all.
Aw, that's so cute! I don't know much about dogs, so at first, I thought Sky was aggressive since she wasn't with you both for around 2 days (especially since I find Sky is a little more well-behaved).
So glad it got better, the four of you are a perfect family! ❤

When I first introduced my dogs, it went kinda similar. My Dog was already 7, and I adopted a 1-2 years old adult husky and my dog did not like her at first. It took about 2 weeks too for him to warm up to having another dog live with him. We did the same thing, took them on walks together and tried to get them to play outside the home while keeping them separated inside. It eventually worked, and they're also best friends now!

Omg sky was so small lol. love the videos, we are a 3 huskie family. A year ago when I brought my 2 huskie puppies home to meet the older huskie brother it went well. The vet even said lord you have 2 husky puppies you are brave lol
I think Sky was a mom for some time but now they are like BFF'S Sister's and I love them love from Gemma 💗💗💗💗💗💗❤️

Edited: And when you compare Kakoa and Sky Kakoa was so tiny :3 and when they tried to do the bringing Kakoa home for the first time was so funny and cute! It’s pawsome to see them grow :3
After we lost our Golden, we looked to find a rescue for our other dog, who now has become the older dog of the home. Our dog grew up with our 2 other dogs who had at that time, both passed away, and got alone great with them. We rescued a beautiful Huskie/Shepard mix and brought him home to meet our dog. We had them on leases and it was a good thing, because our older dog attached the new dog. Oh! what did we do? It was the wrong way to bring 2 new dogs together. Sad to say that the 2 never could get along 2 months of trying, we had to take the rescue back to the shelter where he found the right home. Two month later we brought home a Golden retrieve puppy and were so worried about what our older dog would do to him. When we got home, we brought our older dog out to the street where the puppy was. They got along GREAT. And are best friends to this day. That was 2 years ago. How you introduce them is so important. Thanks for reading this long story, but it was great to tell it again. JN😊

Happy that it worked out and neither dog was injured, me and my mom actually learned the hard way that my dad dog hated any other dog besides my mom dog on our property. Well luckily no one in the situation got seriously injured and it ended up okay. Just a few years later, we were going to get a puppy and my mom made sure to get the puppies sent on a blanket so he could smell it and when we actually brought her home just think she was here to begin with.
Unfortunately we had to bring her early, so after a quick trip to the vet to make sure everything was good. My dad put his dog in a collar with leash so we could easily separate the two, luckily enough there was no growling, barking, whimpering or yelping. He was just every excited to see her, and waited before setting her down and waited before taking him off the leash, not once did he try go go after her. He became very protective over her like he is over my moms dog.

Amazing Grace has been an only puppy due to my health issues and the passing of her dad aka my husband. Last summer we traveled about 700 miles to visit my sister who had a stroke from the covid vaccine. We stayed with my niece who also has a dog and had no idea what would happen. They got along great and Grace would even let him eat her food. It was so wonderful to see them play and want snuggles with everyone they met. I shouldn't have been driving so far since I had cataracts and no idea how bad they were. We actually made the same trip twice! I wish that one day I can take Amazing Grace to the beach. I have one eye surgery done and another coming up, as long as it snow. Extremely hard to get around in the mountains when it snows. God bless all the furbabies and those who love them 👑 🙏 💞✝️🐾🕯🕯🕯🕯♾

I remember my 2 cats and 1 dog meeting for the first time, and then I expected to go pretty well, but when my cats saw the dog, my cats were hissing so loud. And after that, I was worried because maybe my cats were going to hurt the dog or bully him, but I was wrong. The dog is the one who is bullying the 2 cats, like wtf.

It's funny that while dogs are so territorial, it's been my experience that introducing a puppy to an older dog usually works out well. It's also been my experience that the same cannot be said about cats. Especially females. It's weird
So glad these 2 get on now! It's good for an older dog to have a younger one to play with 🤗 keeps 'em younger longer
I remember when we got a 2nd cat (which was a female, first one male) the female kitty kept picking fights with our senior male. Thought it would seem they started teaming up against neighbour cats after a while and then they just tolerated each other. They never really did too much together and one was clearly an outside wild cat (the male) while the other (female) was a human-cuddler and preferred being by our side more. But yeah, they fought like almost every night for like a month, always instigated by the female. We've had the same situations with dogs btw. The fighting was almost always started by the females.
