You guys could probably get Dixon & Nolan to do a show with you. They are all over youtube pushing their joint comic book line.
Here in the UK Batman: Knightfall was adapted into a radio play broadcast on BBC Radio 1 in daily snippets. I remember that the script and voice actors were really good, each part was broadcast at around 4pm in the afternoon and I'd try and get home from school in time to catch each 10 minute episode.

I think it is slightly speeded up though, the voices sound a little higher pitched than they should.
Another thing done right about this story is the 650-page "phonebook" reprinting that's available for about $25 new (and $15 or less used.) It looks great, it's in COLOR, the price makes it accessible, and it doesn't weigh 10 pounds!

Also is it just thr KnightFall storyline or does it include KnightsQuest and KnightsEnd? Most trades completely skip KnightsQuest.
On Chuck Dixon's show he says Denny O'Neil made sure Aparo got the backbreaker issue depite DC higher-ups wanting to use a new guy to sell the next storyline.
Great choice. Having Aparo Batman being the one who got broken made it "real".
@@wtk6069one funny thing Dixon talks about with Denny is he wouldn't let him reinvent anything created on the Adam West show. He wanted to bring King Tut in so he would sneak in things like street names to salute Batman 66.
@@wtk6069 The older I get the more I like silly Batman, you become a boy again. Dixon is great at playing the middle ground btw camp and dark Batman.

Exhausted Batman started about 6 months before Bane busts open Arkham. So yeah, this is even longer. Sword of Azrael mini and Vengeance of Bane one-shot fit there, too.
Jones replaced a very early Travis Charest as Batman cover artist! There are 3 covers by him.
Catwoman launches during the later part of Knightfall. Alfred and Bruce in a wheelchair are in #1.
Can't deny the sense of design and flow that these seasoned artists brought to the pages.
Great video! So apparently Keith actually flaked out on the cover gig for this series and they went to Kelley because they were friends and brought him in to pinch hit under a crazy short deadline with a turn around of a day on some of them. Hope we see you look at more of Kelley’s work at some point!
Before I'd gotten into Batman comics (Just Image and indie at that point) I picked up the BATMAN: KNIGHTFALL prose novel by Denny O'Neil from my local library and it totally sucked me in. I immediately started buying Batman and Detective Comics. Didn't realize there was a Knightfall comic until a while later and I thought it was adapting the novel. I'm still not sure exactly which came first. Always loved the Batman logo with the phases of the moon overlapping it for each chapter break.

Whenever I recommend somebody read comic books, the first thing I recommend is my fault 100%. It’s just fantastic. The part where bang throws the guy to get eaten by the sharks they killed his mother or whatever just blow my fucking mind.
With how many times we’ve heard about creatives getting abused and taken advantage of by the publishers, it’s really nice to hear a story like Denny O’Neil wanting to get all of his guys involved SPECIFICALLY to see that everyone gets a cut of the big pot.
Ah yes, there are plenty of comics out there that people need to start buying, particularly those that have characters that are long overdue to appear on the big screen.
None of Knightfall really grabbed me. I think it's cause the beginning with Arkham and the prison being blown up and all the bad guys breaking lose was already done by Ra's al Ghul in BATMAN #400, one of the first Bat-books I ever read.
It's funny how Batman's been going so long that he has multiple big overarching stories that partly serve as a tour of his entire rogues gallery where he has to round them up one by one.
re-seeing this in this video today, I have to say that I am so shocked at how young some of these make robin look lol I guess since I was a teen at the time it was ok, but as a grown man today... it's like.. kid... seriously... you're flirting with death and need some serious therapy! time for Arkham for you! lol
