    I’ve had elevated cholesterol since I was 20 & 105 pounds, not a red meat eater (total genetic problem). I started taking coq10 to help egg quality & it ended up really helping my cholesterol levels. They are the best HDL/LDLI’ve had. 🤷‍♀️

    • @InfertilityTV
      @InfertilityTV  Před 2 lety +10

      Outside my area of expertise but there is minimal evidence that CoQ10 lowers LDL (maybe in diabetics) and none that it increases HDL. Don't sell yourself short. Its likely all of the other healthy lifestyle choices you make. Good work!

    Sorry I know this question is not related to this video but I saw couple of unanswered questions at right place so putting here (also commented same under the video of IUI)
    Is there a chance that fimbrea at the end of Fallopian tubes (which are open) won't able to pick up egg and egg would get lost somewhere in Abdominal/Pelvic area ?
    If so, what are causes & are there any way to detect & prevent this?
    I observed most if not all Drs. never speak about this issue, hoping if you are having any thoughts.
    Thanks in advance!

    Have those studies showing that CoQ10 did not improve over placebo actually tested whether CoQ10 levels increased following supplementation? Thing is, oral CoQ10 is poorly absorbed. Therefore, to be sure, only administration od intramuscular CoQ1o could actually produce a possible effect. Since you have not listed the studies I could not verify whether the scientists checked levels of CoQ10 following oral administration

    Dr. Morris, I would love to come to your office for an evaluation especially since my obgyn has suggested that I see an REI /IVF doctor 9 months ago after my last miscarriage. Here’s the stumbling block I ran into when I called ur office , left a message and someone called me back. She asked me a few questions one including if I’m trying to conceive and the other one she stated something about me bringing my partner in was a must. The problem is my partner does not live here in the same state and he won’t be able to come in but possibly later on. I’m mainly looking to have myself evaluated since I’m the one who’s had 3 miscarriages in a 10yr span with three different partners. None of my pregnancies made it past 10 weeks. Is it possible to get an appointment to focus on my health and get an answer on why this keeps happening to me.?? HELP!! ☹️☹️☹️

    "The lack of an effect of CoQ10 on LBR and MR may be attributed
    to the small number of studies that provided data on these outcomes
    (two and three studies, respectively),whereas CPR data
    were extracted from all included studies (five studies). However, a trend for a beneficial effect of CoQ10 on LBR
    and MR was evident, despite the lack of statistical significance."
    This is from the meta-analysis you have mentioned above.

    • @InfertilityTV
      @InfertilityTV  Před rokem +2

      1) Lack of any proven benefit may be due to insufficient power, however, even if a future study shows some benefit (unlikely), when added into the meta-analysis, it likely means that any beneficial effect would be exceedingly small
      2) Lack of statistical significance means that the results could be due ENTIRELY to chance rather than to a treatment effect

    • @InfertilityTV
      @InfertilityTV  Před 2 lety +6

      This is the problems with SCAMs and other misinformation. If you flood the internet with enough reviews and social media posts , people will say "I don't know what to believe"
      This is why good science is more important than ever
      If somebody publishes a randomized placebo controlled trial in a reputable peer reviewed medical journal today that shows CoQ10 improves the live birth rate, I will start recommending it to my patients tomorrow.
      There is a reason why supplement companies are not allowed to make claims that their compound can "treat or cure any medical problem" - it is because in the USA, you must prove your supplement or drug works before you can make those claims.
