I made this video to share how these mics performed for in our Wednesday Chapel services in which I run the sound when they need my help. I was absolutely floored with how quick I was able to EQ these mics to unlock the audio unto another level with minimal changes. I love this mic for podcasting, live streaming, and now are my favorite go-to wired condenser mics for live vocals. Just had to share how they sound, and why they are so much more effective to capture clean audio on small stages with limited spaces!

Both sound awesome! But when you switched from the 117 to the Ethos…. WOW! I’ve wanted an Ethos for a while now, but that example REALLY makes me want one!! Great stuff!!

@@levelupwithmikenewman I’ve loved the sound of it since I first heard examples. Cost is a thing to me though as I am not in a position to just randomly spend $400 on a mic haha!

THANKS! I was asked to write an article piece for Earthworks about the importance of proper EQ for Live Vocals. After using the mics myself in our chapel services, I had to make this video to share what they could do. Just blew me away with how easy they were for me to EQ compared to our wireless SM58's. Effortless and exceptional....speechless.

Sir i've seen this happen many times, artists rocking out with terrible sound, and guess who gets the blame? Yep, the poor speaker. I hope this inspires many to choose the right mic and gets everyone on the proper EQ. Great work there, and thanks for sharing the video. 🙂
