I want to listen to more proper iridium demos. Not that vanilla stuff. You are literally the only person on the tube who takes it to the edges sometimes. keep them coming. Thanks
I appreciate that! I think an issue (for myself included sometimes) is it can do so many things the tendency is to throw the kitchen sink into a patch. I always like my own patches more when I restrict myself a bit with a synth this deep.
Latest soundset for Iridium from LFOstore is quite good too.
@@JamesonNathanJones unbelievable patches! what keyboard are you using to control it?
Edge lord
this is fantastic. wonderful patches. incredible stuff JNJ!
great set of patches, sounds great!
Beautiful sounds and great ear candy stuff!
Thank you for the video. You are inspiring me to make You Tube videos. Every time I sit down at my Waldorf Iridium Keyboard I feel like I can do anything. With time and effort I can make any sound I can think of! Its a great synth. Waldorf makes great Synths.
Great sounds, thanks
Amazing sounds, love it. This is the first time I see Waldorf making some sounds I find really interesting.
Excellent patches. Really enjoying them on my Quantum. All very usable too. Thanks for making them available. Look forward to more !
Thanks Craig! Glad you’re enjoying them :)
Excellent. Thx a lot.
These Iridium videos have been really inspiring.
Even though I don't own the unit, I love to emulate its character in software like Pigments, etc.
Great demo, man!
Same here!
easily one of the best demos of this synth on the web. :) I hope you make more patches to share !
Thanks!
That first patch…wow. I think I need an Iridium now.
pls do demo with talking. I love when you talk about how you use your gear, you upgrade my brain os!
You are the first person in the history of CZcams comments to ask for talking in a synth video 🥹 I thank you. Haha
The Broken glass demo from you made me buy Iridium last year. After number of disappointments because if it's digital nature and sound, this bank definately motivates me to go deeper in investigating it's abilities. More attention to Resonators and Particle blocks, modulators and effects. Just a great job and to my mind the best commercial bank for Iridium at the moment. Thank you!
Thanks Alex! I’ve been really enjoying modulated comb filters lately too. The digital former really adds a lot of possibilities to this synth :)
This thing is sweet! Seems like you've really bonded with it. I sincerely hope someone hits you up for film scoring based on this demo. I Imagine these sounds could really elevate a science documentary or a moody indie film 😌✨
Beautiful Sounds! sometimes analog, sometimes otherworldly!
Bought, love the patches! Very playable as well
Thanks so much!
Best Digital Synth Ever !
NIN - "Still" vibes. Wonderful :)
7:42 perfect
5:40 "Safe here" is great : bravo!
Énorme 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Im considering this synth now to downsize from a novation summit which I will miss, but this makes me feel confident about it.
I love it. I hope to create some awesome patches too! I am still learning though. Tutorial please? :)
Number 22 ❤️
What a cool instrument (sudden G.A.S. pressure build up)
Im buy it is super great you can make video how you creat does sound or how you use the iridium pleeeeaaaassseee
Damnit man...
I have one of these wonderful instruments, and your video's only go to show just how much of the surface I have barely scratched on it................
Absolutely gorgeous. Do you sell your patches online ?
Woha EUP Felt is a very nice patch, really enjoyed this one. Well done!
This Synth pick my interest lately, but I'm not that much fan of menu diving when I want to create a patch, hands on controel fele more intuitive to me. What about this Iridium? I know there a some menus to dig for sound design, but do you need to spend a lot of time inside menus to make a sound, or is it on the light side?
Thank you for sharing your patches anyway, great sounding!
Thanks! There’s definitely a lot of menu work with the Iridium which actually caused me to sell it at one point, but the touchscreen alleviates a lot of those issues since all the menus are interactive. After I sold it and tried other synths I found I really missed that aspect of the Iridium.
@@JamesonNathanJones Thank you for your answer. I've got a Yamaha MODX, and I find it tidious to make any patch with it as there is a lot of menu diving, it's not appealing at all to me. I'm curious to see a "patch from scratch" kind of video, are you planning on doing something alike?
You might find the video I just released helpful. It’s a granular focused video, but you can find a section where I spend some time making a patch with the Iridium in the timestamps :)
@@JamesonNathanJones Nice, I'll check that out!
This is awesome.
Did you ever compare the Iridium to Arturia Pigments? To be, at a glance they seem very much alike - apart from one obviously being hardware and the other a VST. I only have Pigments available, but it's really enjoyable.
To me, there seems to be a big overlap what they're able to do, but also in the workflow and what they invite you to do.
Haven’t tried Pigments, but from what I know of it, yes they seem to cover a lot of the same territory. I’ve actually bought the Iridium (sold it because I had various VSTs that filled a similar space). But I’ve found that it really inspires me to make patches in a way software generally doesn’t. That’s purely a personal thing though.
@@JamesonNathanJones Interesting..which VSTS did you get?
I have Omnisphere 2 and Dune 3 which I absolutely love. Nexus 2 which is just ok.
But I'd really be interested in which you have.
I've been thinking for a while wether or not to shell out on the irridium but always wondered if there's VSTS that can do the same things for design, primarily ambiant and other worldy effects.
Is that XY pad on the Iridium midi mappable (so you can control precise movement of it with it in the DAW)?
What made you go for the desktop vs the keyboard version?
Well what is this device I must research now lol it sounds nice 👍 till I seen price
Haha yeah it’s definitely not a cheap one.
It reminds me DNTEL's sound..."the dream of evan and chan"...pretty distorted
Wholly *EUP Felt* batman!
Hey Nathan, could you check the email? Importing patches doesn't work due to missing samples.
Hi! Received your email on my personal address and responded with my business address. Check your spam folder :)
What stand is that?
It’s the 3 tier stand from On-Stage
First,i always thinking, can soft synth's do this?Because,it makes a difference in money.
Both hardware and software can sound amazing. The creative experience is different for each. Neither is better - they’re just different.
Very safe answer 😊 but i know what you really think 😁
I owned blofeld and Largo, in terms of emulating its digital dna it's just 1/1 copy i guess, but its the hardware guts that make the difference
This video is really annoying..............................................................simply because - once again, I'm tempted........(I was so relieved to see your old upload, saying why you were selling your Iridium.........then heard you were buying another).................trying to get over my G.A.S., and this video is NOT helping....................P.S. Awesome upload bro!
