To A Distant World Part I & II (Waldorf Iridium) Ambient Performance with Luftrum 25 soundset

- Semi-improvised performance using only sounds from the soundset Luftrum 25 for the Waldorf Iridium (except drums). Bitwig Studio and DittoX4 used for the background loops and some pre-recorded multitracked parts.
All keyboard parts improvised, in one take, without practice.
Luftrum has always been one of my favourite sound/preset designers, so I was very happy when he contacted me to come up with a performance using only this new soundset, created for one of my favourite synths. Included with this set are 8 presets designed by myself, which marks the first time I've share any of my own sounds, along with the excellent sounds by Luftrum and Echo Season.

@Steve Jones Me too. It was the sounds that got me, as in the noises, so new, so unlike anything I'd heard before. The 'how on Earth did they make that sound' curiosity. This State Azure stuff is absolutely outstanding.

I absolutely love this. There are the obvious homages in the presets: Floyd, Jarre, and Vangelis. Perhaps a tiny nod to Eno as well. But it's all put together in such an evocative way...seamless and natural. While I wouldn't describe it as sparse, nothing is too dense. This is going to be on the speakers and over the headphones a lot in the coming days.
