Excellent. Not only a master welder but a master educator. Covers every nuance of the craft.
Thank you very much for your kind words J! If you deem me worthy, I'd really appreciate it if you could share out my channel on your social media so I can help more people. Thanks in advance!
Thanks for your time fella, on aluminium practice I scribe straight lines to follow , stay lucky, stay safe…😉🇬🇧
You're very welcome! Yeah not a bad plan for keeping on track. Thanks for the watch! Cheers from Canada!
I have watched a ... let's just say a few .. of these how to "tig" weld videos .... I am beginner, non professional, just for "fun". I come from some acetylene experience and lots of stick, I consider myself, good for me, but I wouldn't want to sell my skill level yet! My "goto" is stick, I want to expand. So I recently acquired a TIG machine, to learn. "This is the best video I've seen by far". To the important points, concise and no losing me in strange and unknown language to a beginner! I feel more confident now to keep practicing! My machine has "more" bells and whistles, than what was shown and a manual that sucks! You explained the basics of some of the buttons which helps immensely! Thank you!
Awesome Gadjet! Glad you liked the video and felt it was one of the best out there! Hopefully it can help you out in your quest to learn TIG. If you deem me worthy, I'd really appreciate a share out on your social media so I can help more people. Thanks for the watch and glowing review! If you liked my TIG, you should check out my other welding videos too! Cheers!

Sweet vid man!
Thanks Bruh! Glad ya liked it!
Thank you
You're welcome. Thanks for the watch!
fantastic overview on teaching how to TIG welding my main question is is your Lincoln welder a transformer machine because you made mention of the green tungsten and also to the red tungsten? me personally setting up on my machine I use the blue 2% lanthanated on mine I got a primeweld Tig 225x mine is a inverter based machine AC/DC welder too. and like I said I used 2% lantinated blue tungsten pretty much all the ways around and when I get into high amperage AC welding I use the gray tungsten.
Thank you very much! Yeah the Lincoln 225 precision TIG is a transformer machine with squarewave tech in it. This allows you to run red electrodes and the balled electrode tip isn't even needed either. It's actually a decent little machine. Thanks for the watch!
Thx, very informative.
I do have a problem with visualizing tip of electrode distance to workplace. The tapered tip is obscured by the light of the arc so what I see is glowing rod but not the actual tip of the electrode. Do you actually see the true tip?
Yes you can see the distance if your head position and welding lense shade allow it. Otherwise you'd be dipping the tungsten constantly. Might take a bit of experience but you'll get there. Thanks for the watch!
You must have a old machine, blue tungsten is the norm now. Plus I like not having radioactive dust flying around when I'm grinding my tungsten. Also most new machines will say in their instructions not to use the green pure tungsten
It is an old machine but the basics still work. Sometimes it comes down to budget too as we are in high school. The red/green electrodes are cheaper and I have a lot of old stock to use up. I have switched to blue electrodes recently though as the tip last longer with AC welding. Thanks for the suggestion and the watch!
Ciao, great video!Sorry for the noob question, but what can happen if the tungsten tip touch the filler rod!??
Again...great videos! But i'm still afraid to do the first attempt... :'D
Ciao Francesco! The filler rod will melt and might get stuck or contaminate the tungsten electrode requiring you to regrind the electrode. You will be wearing gloves so nothing will happen to you. You got this dude! Thanks for the watch and welcome to the channel! Remember, we were all noobs at one point. Cheers!
@@wayofthewrench thanks thanks a lot for your answer!
Yesterday has arrived the Lincoln 3350 mask...hope to test it soon as possible. But i need gloves and other protections before ☺️
Cool, I wish you luck. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
I have to ask what if your machine doesn't have a foot pedal
There are other ways to start the arc like a trigger button on your torch for high frequency starts or your machine might have a lift start (touch to start) setting where you touch the part and as soon as you lift the tungsten off, it will start. Both of these have full amperage unless the trigger has a slider to scale back the amperage. Some machines have both of these as well. In my experience, a pedal is kinda crucial to learn how to properly tig weld and the other ways have their time and place but generally they are for awkward situational work like welding up off the ground or repeated constant work where you don't need to adjust your amperage during welding. Thanks for the watch!
cute
No welders were hurt in this video.....lol
