The thing I notice in these makeovers is it’s very rare for the families to say ‘oh my gosh a huge tv’, it’s more ‘we can spend time together now’ ‘now we can feed more people’ ‘I have space to study’, ‘we can have family here for Christmas’ and more. It’s never about the ‘stuff’, they give so much more than that!

I noticed too 😢 A kid said he just didn’t want it to rain on his bed, just a tiny little boy, his mum said how a good Flush from a toilet was so amazing, it’s so humbling… this show was really something

Such a deserving family! Both of the parents change lives with their work (Dad as a competent CO who reaches out and helps inmates, and Mum as a childminder to help disadvantaged families get back on their feet without worrying about childcare costs) and their kids are clearly well raised - smart, polite, fun, and grateful.
Wishing them every happiness - they truly deserve it ❤️

I love the adorable wife's reaction when she saw the bathroom, their little dancing together, what a lovely couple. 😊 I hope they will always be a solid, loving, loyal, strong, healthy, and happy family. The beautiful kids must be grown ups now!
I wish there's a show where they visit the families that managed to stay together and keep their houses. The ones that got their mortgages paid off and the one with their kids had become good, educated, successful people. I would like to watch that! Getting sudden luck is one thing, but keeping the luck is a continuous hard work and self control in a whole other level! 🎉

I live in Fiji and you guys are inspirational,I have never owned a house,I have always rented a house,wish my life was so different as there is so much I wish I could do in helping people that are less fortunate then me I have never been given a break my life is tough,times we don't have groceries,battle to pay our rent it is so hard

Amazing ..but...find it sad that he, as a Christian, has spent his life in service to the community & his church...yet the community/church folks havent stepped up to help him when he most needs it..until tv show steps in. Thats a tragedy😥
Man is not the rewarder but God is, am sure he had hope and faith that one day his house will be better etc, its time we stop look at the negative and just trust God to send help when it's the right time

Have you considered that maybe the community is also struggling in their own ways? To most of them, he looks happy and doing by and that is enough. God works in different ways and his path was that he would be helped by someone else..his service is to God and god sends the help...
